Hot picks from Hyderabad designers

We loved the indian wear created by two Hyderabad designers. For his finale outfit Anand Kabra showcased a beige lehenga with a long jacket. The flowy, dull color four piece outfit (a churidar, lehenga, long jacket and dupatta) was embellished with lots of beads, sequins and metallic wires. Smart in design and rich in effect— perfect for the vivacious bride seeking an outstanding wear for a pre or post wedding party.

Sashikant Naidu showed at LFW for the first time. The Hyderabad based engineer turned designer has preferred to keep a low profile so far, but everyone at LFW has been referring to him as a designer who huge potential. Sashikant big influence and inspiration is nature—so you saw a lot of florals, greens and earthy shades. The hand painted sarees in natural fibers sported contemporary prints inspired by kalamkari work. What really caught our attention were the simple accessories— the models only wore the auspicious turmeric and yellow threads. So all the focus was on the sarees and not the makeup or accessories, and for a change you didn’t see glamorous, sexy models but beautiful, feminine and charming girls walking the ramp.
