Wedding Tales at Taj West End, Bangalore

By Jaspreet Soni

Taj West End Bangalore witnessed a beautiful fusion wedding planned by Noor and Roseline of Wedding Tales, Bangalore. Bride Meghna, originally from India (she is half Bengali, half Kannadiga) has been living in the US since ten years and she met her groom Andrew while studying there.  They wanted their Indian wedding to happen in Bangalore since Meghna’s grandparents live there and Taj West End made for the perfect venue.

According to Noor and Roseline the challenge was to plan it all in a month and a half. Noor says, “When the bride’s mother contacted us we just had one and a half months time to plan the entire wedding. And with bride and groom both in US, coordinating and communicating the ideas was a challenge. But with the bride’s mother’s support at every step, and amazing co-operation from the Taj, we managed to arrange a wedding that our clients enjoyed to the fullest.”

The morning wedding took place in the lush Prince of Wales gardens that invoked a very traditional and temple feel. Flowers and traditional Indian elements were used in abundance to bring alive the ceremony. Rose says, “We used lot of jasmine, marigolds, red roses, daisies to add freshness and color. Green, white, yellow and red were the primary colors to accentuate the summer theme. The mandap was created with abundant use of jasmine and marigolds. To add the traditional touch, we used urlis along the pathway leading to the mandap. The canopies and the trees were decorated with marigold strings.”

The evening look was completely different- an elegant Western sit-down reception. Noor says, “Purple and pink are Meghna’s favorite colors so we used them lavishly for the reception that unfolded in the Ballroom of Taj West End. Lots of orchids, candles, fish bowls and drapes lent a romantic and dreamy feel to the entire event. The giveaways were M&M’s packed in beautiful boxes, a small yet colorful token of the affair to remember.”
