With WeddingSutra on Location- Aayushi Kothari

As part of our initiative ‘WeddingSutra on Location’, we invited four brides-to-be for a unique experience at Neeta Lulla’s Studio in Santacruz (West), Mumbai. Starting with a Style Consultation, a Makeover and a Photo shoot, each of the participants got to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.

Here in the last of the four-part series, bride-to-be Aayushi Kothari, shares her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at Neeta Lulla’s studio.

“When I was on WeddingSutra’s Facebook page one day, I read about ‘WeddingSutra on Location’, and I immediately wrote to tell them how I would love to be a part of this amazing experience. I was thrilled when I got an opportunity to be part of their upcoming shoot at Neeta Lulla’s studio.

On reaching Neeta Lulla’s Studio, I was greeted with a warm welcome by the WeddingSutra team. My experience started with Wedding Planner Neha Shroff who helped me select an outfit from all the bridal options on display. After trying a few, I finally zeroed on a teal lehenga with pink and red thread motifs, which was paired with a red choli and a pink shaded dupatta with gold embroidery. To accessorize my look, I wore a gold choker set by Azva.

With my look decided, I then got my hair and makeup done by Makeup maestro Ojas Rajani. I’ve previously seen her work on WeddingSutra’s Real Brides Real Style page, and loved the looks she’s given all the brides, so I was very excited getting my makeup done by her. Since I have long and straight hair, Ojas suggested that we keep them open and flowy. She curled the ends of my hair to add volume and to give a very glamorous look.

Ojas asked me how I would like to get my make-up done, and since we were toying with the glam look, we decided to highlight my eyes. And I think she made my eyes look dreamy and magical! Starting with an Inglot eye make-up base, she applied a nude eye shadow from the roots of my lash line till the brow. She then applied a peach shadow till the socket line, smudged the outer lines and contoured the eyes with a dark brown shade. On the edges of the lash line, she applied a black eye shadow and ran kohl over it. She finished by applying kohl on the inner rim and outer rim of the eye and swept volume waterproof mascara on the lashes. I looked at myself in the mirror and there I was- a glam bride-to-be!

With my hair and makeup done, it was time for the photo shoot with Candid Photographer Dev Purbiya. He was amazing at his work, and made me feel super comfortable and at ease. And I must admit, posing for the camera was the most fun part of the experience! All in all, it was awesome to get pampered by some of the most passionate and friendly experts from the wedding industry. Thank you WeddingSutra for the amazing opportunity!”
