With WeddingSutra On Location- Malika Tejura

As part of our initiative WeddingSutra On Location, we invited four brides-to-be for a unique experience at Satya Paul in Juhu, Mumbai. Starting with a Style Consultation, followed by a Makeover and a Photo Shoot, each of the participants were given an opportunity to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.
Here, in the second of the four-part series, bride-to-be Malika Tejura writes about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at Satya Paul.
“I would like to call myself a super-enthusiastic bride. In fact, I started planning the little details of my wedding from the day my boyfriend proposed to me. I love planning, working on the little details around my vision, and for me wedding planning is a super-fun and not too stressful exercise. So WeddingSutra on location was ideal for a bride like me, and I was thrilled when I was invited to be a part of it.
On location, the charming Satya Paul store, Juhu had a beautiful selection of wedding lehengas. After meeting the WeddingSutra team and the experts I began to carefully sift through the outfit options there. With the team’s help I picked a red and gold bridal lehenga in soft net, embellished with gold patchwork and hand embroidery. It was teamed with a lovely jacquard blouse and a shimmer net dupatta. The moment I tried it on, the feeling of being a bride sunk in!
Next to discuss my makeup I was introduced to Makeup Artist Recinda Martis, who I think has a knack for understanding personalities and their preferences. She instantly got what I was looking for and gave me a make up look that I was comfortable with and yet something which I felt looked glamorous.
With my make up complete, I was entrusted in the hands of Ishita and Sangeeta Khanna who creatively gave me the perfect hairstyle. The voluminous waves added a touch of romance to the gold rani haar jewellery set by Azva, which the WeddingSutra team carefully picked out for me, to compliment the overall look.
Finally all ready, I couldn’t wait to be photographed looking every bit a bride. The photographers Amit and Priyanka Barot were extremely patient; we talked about different angles, and approaches and they explained how I could get a perfect picture. This made feel me less conscious and better equipped to pose, and soon I was enjoying myself.

Malika’s Look
Recinda felt that Malika could carry off any look and decided to give her a phera makeover. As the bride-to-be asked for a bronze look, Recinda began with the Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse, and brushed on some Lakmé Absolute Colour Illusion Eye Shadow in Bronze. She then used the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate on the upper and lower eyelids, and smoked them out. She then added on a few coats of the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes mascara to brighten up her face. Recinda finished the look with the Lakmé Absolute Gloss Stylist in coral sunset.
