Actor Imran Khan got engaged to Avantika Malik at his family’s sprawling farm house in Karjat. Imran looked dapper in a black sherwani and ivory silk kurta designed by Varun Bahl and Karan Johar. Avantika chose an unusual velvet lehenga, in blue and gold. What was really disappointing was her unconventional choli—which did nothing to flatter her personality or figure. The bride’s mother also wore a velvet lehenga—we heard Varun Bahl designed the bride and her mother’s ensemble too. Imran’s uncle Aamir Khan, his wife Kiran Rao and other family members and close friends attended the engagement. Aamir’s ex-wife Reena Khan also made a rare appearance.
