Raveena Tandon married film distributor Anil Thadani in a fit-for-princess wedding ceremony at Shiv Niwas Palace in Udaipur. Delhi-based designer Manav Gangwani created several outfits for the wedding functions while Farah Khan designed the jewellery. For the wedding ceremony, Raveena wore her mother’s 35 year old maroon wedding saree. Gangwani recreated it as a lehenga embellished with semi-precious stones and embroidered with “pure” gold fibre for a modern look. The groom Anil Thadani wore a beige sherwani with antique gold zardosi work on the collars teamed with a stole and a churidaar. For the pre-Sangeet dinner, Raveena wore a black brocade lehnga. For Mehndi, Raveena wore a Mughal-style keri work sharara with spaghetti strap choli and kundan jewellery while leading mehndi artist Usha Shah applied Mehndi to her. Cory Walia did Raveena’s make up and hair for all the occasions.
