Sonaakshi Raaj’s wedding invitations by Puneet Gupta paint a watercolor romance

Inspired by the pristine beauty of Hua Hin, the leading Indian designer and bride-to-be Sonaakshi Raaj’s wedding invite brings in the beach vibes of the serene Thai province, the tropical botanicals and the underwater sanctuary of the sea life designed by India’s top luxury invitation brand, Puneet Gupta invitations .
The love between the couple was signified with a pair of seahorses kissing as they bloomed out of a lovely botanical and nautical cascade of corals and peonies. The two flamingos on top accompanied by the seahorses were symbolic of their families and friends always surrounding the couple. The shells and starfish were a reflection of the serene beach destination, Hua Hin. The invitation has been beautifully accentuated with rich gold foil highlights and watercolour renderings. The inside lid of the invitation box featured an imprint of the Thailand map as the invitation sits beautifully on the suede-lined interiors of the box to give it a warm and plush feel.
The invitation cards were hand-painted using watercolours and were crafted using a unique technique of three-dimensional paper layering which gave the florals and the shells on the outer cover a 3-D look, giving the card a beautiful tactile feel. First opening to the seven vows of the wedding and then finally revealing the details of the events, this invitation was accompanied with a chocolate box and personalised ribbon tied with the bride and groom’s name. All of these unique elements that made up Sonaakshi and Nikhil’s wedding invitation were put inside a white pearl finished carry bag with beautiful gold embossed insignia.
Besides the physical invites, Puneet Gupta Invitations also designed the digital invitations, luggage tags, letters, hampers and signages keeping in mind the overall graphic language of the wedding.
