A heart-warming love story like that of Srishti and Abhishek deserves a grand celebration like no other. The duo hosted their wedding in regal style in Udaipur.
How We Met
Srishti and Abhishek met through their families and felt an instant fondness. After spending the next two days together, they realized a deep connection and there was no looking back. Love slowly made its way into their hearts and soon enough, they were inseparable.
Wedding Venue
The duo tied the knot at the Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa. The hotel affords views of the city as well as of Fateh Sagar Lake. Complete with gorgeous lawns, this property is ideal for weddings fit for royalty.
Featuring ethnic and modern décor, the hotel is as opulent as a palace with plush amenities, guaranteeing a comfortable, stylish and memorable experience marked by luxury and comfort.
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The decor for the mehndi function was inspired by a ‘Sea of Love’ theme. Decorated in a blue and white palette, the dreamy setup was complete with a throne for the bride and the groom nder a gorgeous canopy of flowers
The bride wore a lehenga by Chamee & Palak that featured a multi-color palette of yellow, peach and green. She paired the outfit with a beautiful polki neckpiece, a pair of earrings and a bracelet. The groom opted for a yellow bandi, green shirt and beige trousers designed by Vedam, Kolkata.
Sangeet
The celebrations continued with a ‘Winter Wonderland’ themed sangeet. Snowflakes were suspended from the ceiling while candles and decorative lamps hanging from the tree branches appeared to be covered in snow.
The highlight of the event was Srishti and Abhishek’s entry when they walked in, engulfed in white smoke, as though they were walking on clouds!
Srishti looked stunning in a heavily worked upon peach and golden kurta and sharara which she bought from Saroj Jalan, Kolkata. The outfit was paired with a polki rani haar, earrings, bracelet, and a diamond cocktail ring.
Myra
One of the most traditional functions at their wedding was the ‘Myra’ that saw a Rajasthani theme with a traditional sit-down lunch. The decor was replete with vibrant gendas featured in the centerpieces, hangings, and even on the cute elephant sculptures at the venue. Colorful seating, umbrellas and Rajasthani folk dancers brought in the true taste of Rajasthan to the setup.
Wedding and Reception
The wedding and receptions were clubbed together with the decor designed to create a regal atmosphere.
The couple made a grand entry in a vintage car with a lawazma.
The couple exchanged varmalas under a colossal structure and had flowers showered on them from all sides. Their pheras took place in a mandap smothered in white flowers under a massive floral chandelier.
Srishti’s wedding lehenga was by Jade by Monica and Karishma; an elegant silver and beige ensemble which she paired with beautiful polki jewellery. Abhishek opted for a peach sherwani designed by Vedam, Kolkata.
Advice For Couples
Start at least 6 months before for a relaxed, well-planned wedding.
It’s very important to pick clothes that are comfortable rather than just what’s trending. Go for something that makes you feel at ease and matches your sense of style.
Try and complement each other for beautiful pictures.
