Bunty married Carolina at a Gurudwara wedding at his hometown Kashipur in Uttarakhand on 20th March, 2010. Bunty has been pursuing modelling since over a decade. After completing his MBA in Pune, he moved to Mumbai and won the runners-up title at the Gladrags Manhunt contest in 1999. He’s also into acting and choreography. A year ago Bunty met Carolina, also a model while he was choreographing a fashion show at the US Consulate in Mumbai.

Bunty has walked the ramp wearing creations by most leading designers most of whom are his friends; so the only effort he made for wedding planning was shopping for his wedding wear. Says Bunty: “I personally love the designs by Manish Malhotra, Neeta Lulla, Gudda (Rohit Bal) and Nari (Narendra Kumar Ahmed). They all make very wearable and nice stuff and I chose to wear Manish and Neeta for the pre-wedding, wedding and post-wedding functions.”

Bunty’s parents Manjeet Kaur and Balender Singh Grewal organised everything for the wedding, so Bunty and Carolina arrived at the wedding venue, a few days before the wedding. Says Bunty: “I just told my parents that I wanted to have a fun, hassle-free wedding, and they too should not sweat the small staff; so I kept reminding them to plan as much as they could in advance and enjoy themselves thoroughly on the big day.”

The Wedding was held as per Sikh traditions at the Gurudwara at Kashipur and the pre-wedding mehendi function and post-wedding party were both held at Bunty’s farmhouse.

For the wedding, Bunty wore a white silk Manish Malhotra sherwani with a churidar and a turban. Carolina’s traditional red salwar kameez was gifted to her by Bunty’s mother. For the reception Bunty wore an elaborate mustard and maroon sherwani from Neeta Lulla while Carolina wore a rich maroon lehenga choli from Riyaz Ganji of Libas.

Carolina’s family and siblings came from Uruguay while many of Bunty’s friends from the modelling world came from Mumbai. Says Bunty: “One of the reasons we organised the wedding in Kashipur was because I wanted my dear friends to come home, stay with us and meet all my family members. I was elated that so many of them could make it—Zulfi Syed, Akashdeep Sehgal, Tarun Arora, Samreen Zaidi, Praveen Sirohi, Nigam Patel and many others attended the wedding and helped make it such a fun and memorable affair.”
