Lucky and Aman's wedding spanned 5 days. Lucky, a CPA by profession is
based in San Jose, California and Aman, the bride, is from Sacramento,
California. Their pre-wedding celebrations included the Mehndi, Chura
and Sangeet. The Sangeet and Cocktail party was at Four Points by
Sheraton. The wedding ceremony took place at the Sikh Temple in San
Jose and the Reception was held the next day. The Bride and groom
sourced their Wedding wear from the famous Adalat Bazaar in Patiala,
well-known for its embroidery work and traditional footwear (juttis).
Like most Indian weddings in the US, this wedding had both the
Traditional Indian and Western elements. The couple made a grand entry
for the Reception to the accompaniment of the Dhol, after which was
the First Dance and Cake cutting. Friends and relatives from all over
the world were there to bless the couple, and everyone enjoyed the
colorful Indian wedding in the peaceful and verdant Silicon Valley of
California.
