They spent 10 days on the island of Desroches, a paradise just four miles long which lies about 150 miles southwest of the Seychelles’ main island, Mahe. The island, blanketed by coconut groves, has only a handful of luxury villas, each commanding stunning views of the ocean.

Following their extravagant wedding in Venice, George Clooney and wife Amal continued their wedding celebrations and romantic honeymoon at a North Island resort in the Seychelles.
The luxury resort is so private that it is only accessible by helicopter and has 11 luxury villas which are over 5,000 square feet in space and come with their private plunge pools. The lavish Seychelles hotel is located 30km off the main island of Mahe and guests can enjoy ‘barefoot luxury’ thanks to its environmental programme which protects local flora and fauna, and wildlife species such as Seychelles blue pigeons, and Hawksbill and green turtles.

The conservation-oriented retreat consists of just 11 handcrafted villas, that come complete with their own personal chefs, plunge pools and beach access in the most idyllic setting imaginable.

The former Beatle Paul McCartney and bride Heather Mills traveled to the Fregate Island for their honeymoon. Privacy is an art form at Fregate.
