10 Celebrity Weddings to Watch Out For!

The wedding season is finally here! And with the who’s who of India all set to get married, we’ve made a list of all the weddings you should watch out for!
Deepika and Ranveer
Everyone is going gaga over the #DeepVeer Wedding, or should we rightly call it ‘The Most-Awaited One!’? We’re sure many watched the opening episode of ‘Koffee with Karan’ (Season 6), with eyes focused and ears sharp. But while the couple announced the wedding dates through Instagram posts that echoed their joy, they’ve done a great job at keeping the rest of the details under wraps!
What’s speculated: Deepika and Ranveer’s celebrations in Lake Como will be an intimate affair with close friends and family only. Vandana Mohan of Delhi-based The Wedding Design Company and DNA Entertainment Networks are the Wedding Planners for this starry affair. Mumbai’s famed celebrity caterers Foodlink will be whipping up the Sindhi, Kannada and world cuisines. The couple will host a reception in Bengaluru (the venue maybe The Leela Palace Bengaluru) on November 21 for their extended family and friends. This will be followed by another glittering reception in Mumbai on November 28 at the Grand Hyatt for their Bollywood circle.
Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal
If you think they redefined glamour and grandeur with their Italy engagement, think again! Here are some mind-boggling details of the Ambani-Piramal wedding that are doing the rounds of the town.
What’s speculated: The royal wedding celebrations will take place between December 8 – 10, 2018. Their lavish revelries are slated to be spread across Udai Vilas and Taj Aravali Resort & Spa, Udaipur, Jio Gardens in Mumbai, the Piramal’s new mansion at Worli Sea Face, and of course, the Ambani’s towering, glamorous abode, Antilia in Altamount Road, Mumbai (Yes, the total number of pre and post wedding celebrations are expected to be more than 22)! Florist to the stars – Paris-based Jeff Leatham, Globally-celebrated event designer and author Preston Bailey and Sakul Intakul, the famous Thai designer are said to have been roped in for the Ambani-Piramal wedding design. We are also getting ready to screenshot pictures of the floral arrangements by Interflora who are flying in these international names. Couture kings Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla are designing the celebrations at Antilia while Manish Malhotra alongwith Seven Steps are in-charge of Udaipur. Interflora the UK-based luxury flower delivery service alongwith the international designers will be transforming Mumbai’s Jio Gardens for the post-wedding reception.
What our ears couldn’t catch: It is confirmed that Beyonce will perform at the Ambani-Piramal wedding. However, rumors are abuzz that other big names are also heading to Mumbai’s shores for the celebrations – and we can’t wait to find out who they may be!
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas
Our ‘desi’ girl who became a ‘global dream girl’ left us all awed by her intimate and homely ‘roka’ with her beau, Nick Jonas earlier this year. While we can’t wait for the two to tie the knot, here’s what we’ve heard about them.
What’s speculated: They may host their nuptials at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace and Mehrangarh Fort. One of the biggest names in luxury weddings in India – Aditya Motwane (Motwane Entertainment & Weddings) is the wedding planner. We’ve also heard that Priyanka is going to be a Sabyasachi bride! Yes, the noted designer is said to be working on her wedding outfit. Nick, on the other hand, may opt for Manish Malhotra ensembles. Both will wear Indian attires for the various functions and are said to be meeting assorted designers before their big day.
What our ears couldn’t catch: The confirmed dates of the wedding! Some reports state that the couple will tie the knot on December 2, 2018. Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra apparently wanted all traditional Indian rituals to be held, so rumours are that the sangeet and mehndi will take place on November 30 and December 1, 2018, accordingly.
Trishant Sidhwani and Prerita Puri
This spirited planner behind the reputed wedding decor and planning company DreamzKraft, and nephew of ace filmmaker Ritesh Sidhwani amazed us all with his pre-wedding photoshoot in Georgia! And if their photoshoot was that picture-perfect, we look forward to seeing more surprises unfolding at the stylish young couple’s nuptials.
What we know: The plush location of Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel has been fixed as the wedding venue.
Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta
After one elite wedding saga in December 2018, another awaits us in February/ March the following year when Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta tie the knot! And while Isha’s wedding is the topic of the town currently, here’s what we found out about the second Ambani wedding. What we know: The lavish revelries will be hosted across diverse venues and may be planned by Seven Steps, the same company who managed Shloka’s sister’s wedding in 2017. Although the final wedding destinations have not been revealed, insiders tell us the pre-wedding parties are in St Moritz and the wedding and post-wedding celebrations at Antilia and Jio Gardens.
Rohit Navale and Shruti Kharbanda
Followed by the surprise proposal in Jodhpur, the Vice President of Sinhgad Institute, Rohit Navale recently hosted a whimsical engagement party planned by WeddingSutra Favourite Perfexion Events in Pune. His bride-to-be is Shruti, a jewellery designer and daughter of Maheshwari (from the royal family of Pratapgarh in Rajasthan) and actor Kulbhushan Kharbanda. And after breezing through pictures of the lavish affair, we are eagerly waiting to see what the wedding will be like.
What we know: The grand wedding will be held at The Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, in December.
What’s speculated: It’s been brought to our notice that the entire celebration will be designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.
Kaabia Grewal and Rushang Shah
After a cutesy proposal in Amritsar and a dreamy bachelorette trip to Mykonos with her squad, Kaabia Grewal, co-founder of the luxury jewellery brand, The Outhouse, will tie the knot soon with Rushang Shah. And if Kaabia’s designer bachelorette bash in Greece with its cool curated looks is any indication of her taste, we can all expect a visual feast from her wedding festivities where everything will border on fabulous. Her beautiful pictures of the boho-inspired affair looked like it came straight out of a glossy magazine!
What’s speculated: The wedding dates haven’t been revealed yet, but it seems like the couple is circling dates in early March 2019 for the celebrations which in all likelihood will be JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa.
Naivedya Agarwal and Annanya Kejriwal
Naivedya Agarwal, son of Vedanta chairman Navin Agarwal’s and nephew of the company’s founder Anil Agarwal, got engaged to Annanya Kejriwal in June 2018 at the Agarwal’s Carmichael Residence in Mumbai. The grand wedding celebrations are likely to be held at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai in December 2018. Annanya is the daughter of Kanpur-based steel baron Madhav Kejriwal. The highly-qualified bride-to-be earned an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Olin College of Engineering, US. Naivedya apparently popped the question to Annanya while trekking in Uttarakhand. He and his brother run Runaya Metsource which offers top-notch tech applications in innovation and development.
Avni Biyani and Rahul Jain
Avni Biyani, the pretty and smart daughter of retail czar Kishore Biyani, will tie the knot with New York-based banker Rahul Jain. They were dating for a few years. Avni, 28, graduated from New York University in Sociology and Political Science and moved back to India in 2011 where she started a premium food superstore chain. The engagement ceremony in July 2018 at the Ballroom of The Taj Mahal Palace was an elegant affair, and the couple is expected to get married sometime next year.
