A Day with WeddingSutra Favorites: Rajeshwari and Satyam
WeddingSutra Favorites - Dec 19, 2016
‘A Day with WeddingSutra Favorites‘ is all about WeddingSutra bringing its wedding planning enthusiasm and expertise to excited to-be-weds. We customize a program for a selected lucky WeddingSutra reader, which includes visiting a specially curated list of jewellery experts, wedding couturiers, and other specialists. This process that has turned out to be invaluable for couples planning their wedding.
Satyam, an engineer by profession, shares his memorable experience on ‘A Day with WeddingSutra Favorites’
Satyam met his fiancé Rajeshwari at a family friend’s place in Bangalore. “We started talking and realized we were really like-minded. We spoke often and even kept in touch despite our busy schedules. But it was only when our family members made us realize that we would be ‘perfect’ together that we decided to get married,” he shares.
Stop 1: Mercury Travels
“Our first stop was at Mercury Travels. We must say, it was quite a helpful destination to start with! We have always wanted to visit Britain, and Nagsri was helpful in suggesting the best available packages that went beyond the touristy London-based spots. She suggested that we visit the countryside of Wales, Scotland and Lake District to truly experience the beauty of Britain. We are both working professionals and lead very hectic lives; therefore, a professionally curated honeymoon itinerary would be ideal for us. The other positive factor about Mercury Travels is that they also have a branch in Pune (the city I am originally from), which would make it extremely easy for me to coordinate with them.”

Stop 2 Adamis
“Our next stop was Adamis which we particularly loved. We both adore leather products, so it was natural for us to spend the most of our time at Adamis. The store stocks some high-quality leather products such as bags, accessories and shoes for both men and women. I even got myself a pair of burgundy shoes which look very stylish.”

Stop 3: Itchha Talreja Designs
“We then went to Itchha Talreja Designs and were floored by the variety of innovative card designs at her boutique. Each card was unique and had multiple design options that ranged from traditional to quirky. It was easy to put our ideas across to Itchha as she carefully listened to us and was also helpful in suggesting some great themes for our wedding invites.”

Stop 4: Benzer
“We have always passed through Benzer’s window displays but had never purchased anything from the boutique. When we finally went there, we were happy to see a wide variety of trendy Indo-western and ethnic wear. They also have a great pastel-themed wedding collection that we are sure we’d buy for either our sangeet or mehndi ceremony. I particularly loved the gold-embroidered sherwanis that were in stock.”

Stop 5: Smile Essentials
“I have always found dentist visits to be quite unpleasant, but to my surprise, the visit to Smile Essentials was quite the opposite! Dr. Diksha Tahilramani gave us great consultations on oral hygiene and dental care. She even helped us with information on various aesthetic teeth treatments and packages that would be very beneficial for pre-wedding grooming.”

Stop 6: Two Fireflies – One Camera
“Last but not the least, we interacted with Shaurabh and Priyam of Two Fireflies – One Camera and were very impressed with their portfolio. Their candid photography album intrigued me the most as they successfully captured the emotions behind each wedding process. I have a very conservative outlook towards wedding photography; however, Priyam introduced me to newer photography trends that we would definitely consider for our wedding.”
