A destination wedding that celebrated Rajasthan
Wedding Planning - Nov 13, 2025
When Tanisha and Dev Purohit chose Jetpura village in Jalore district, Rajasthan, for their wedding, it presented a huge opportunity for their planners. The team at WeddingSutra Favorite – The Stage Craft, had to start from scratch to transform the land at the couple’s home village into a luxury celebration space.

Wedding Planning
From auspicious red-thread décor lining the pathways to soulful Sufi nights, a high-energy forest-themed sangeet, and a traditional Rajasthani wedding ceremony, every moment was thoughtfully designed to reflect their vibrant journey.
Pradeep Jaiswani of The Stage Craft says, “We had the incredible opportunity of taking on this wedding as a full-scale, turnkey project—starting from scratch and transforming raw land into a luxurious, multi-venue celebration space. From designing and building stay-in tent rooms to curating a distinct venue for each function, every detail was thoughtfully crafted.”
Wedding Functions
Paath & Ganesh Welcome
The celebrations began with a spiritual and heartfelt Paath ceremony, invoking blessings with a welcome to Lord Ganesha. The décor featured moli threads, gotta work, and intricate styling to set a divine tone.

Welcome Dinner
The celebrations commenced with a soulful Sufi-themed welcome dinner that set an enchanting tone for the festivities ahead. The couple made a grand entry, joined by friends and graceful Sufi dancers, creating an atmosphere filled with rhythm and reverence. The décor reflected timeless elegance, featuring a beautifully designed Sufi-style stage embellished with intricate mirror work and soft ambient lighting that cast a magical glow across the venue. The evening came alive with the melodious performance of artist Madhur Sharma, whose music stirred every heart and perfectly captured the spirit of the celebration.

Haldi
The Haldi was held at a venue named “Petals” and lived up to its name. A visual treat, the décor included floral installations, soft furnishings, and playful accents to highlight the joy and warmth of the ritual.

Sangeet
Being a Rajasthani family, the Sangeet was a desi affair blended with the desert magic of Moroccan. The souk-like atmosphere blended traditional music and dance with a vibrant, exotic market vibe.

Reception
For the evening event, the celebrations entered a Glamorous Forest with starry canopies, dramatic screen projections, and immersive lighting. It was an enchanting blend of glamour and nature.

Wedding
The final day was a celebration of regal heritage. The Royal Rajasthani Wedding featured grand floral installations, majestic setups, and royal elements to bring the couple’s vision of a palace wedding to life.
