Framed against Scotland’s cinematic landscapes, Janvi and Dharmik’s pre-wedding photoshoot by WeddingSutra Favorite – Ivory Films beautifully captures their bond through frames that feel natural and full of charm. With every frame, Ivory Films artfully juxtaposed the couple’s natural chemistry against Scotland’s stunning backdrops, from the Gothic arches and cobblestone alleys of Edinburgh to its misty, castle-dotted landscapes.
The couple’s story, much like their shoot, is beautifully serendipitous. “It was an arranged marriage, but not the typical kind,” says Janvi with a smile. Having grown up in Belgium, she was open to the idea of meeting someone, while Dharmik, who had just moved to Belgium to begin his career in the diamond industry, wasn’t thinking about marriage at all. “My father, who’s also in the same line of work, came across Dharmik through a mutual contact and decided to invite him to his office under the pretext of a business meeting, but really, it was to meet him as a potential match!” she laughs. A few weeks later, Dharmik came over for dinner. He didn’t know anything about her, and had already decided it was a ‘no’. But that evening changed everything. What began as a polite dinner turned into an unexpected connection, followed by a casual date, and then, a heartfelt bond that grew deeper with each conversation. “We were poles apart. I grew up in Belgium, he in Surat, but somehow, it just worked. We asked our parents for time, dated exclusively for four months, and then gave our families a solid ‘yes!’.”
From mist-draped hills and cobbled streets to sweeping castle backdrops, each frame exudes quiet intimacy and understated grandeur. The couple’s coordinated neutral outfits, ivory knits, earthy coats, and flowing silhouettes harmonise beautifully with the moody tones of the Scottish countryside, creating visuals that feel both cinematic and deeply serene. Whether they’re sharing a laugh in the drizzle or walking hand-in-hand across an ancient bridge, every photograph radiates chemistry that Ivory Films has framed with precision and emotion. “It was really the best decision to work with Ivory Films,” shares Janvi. “They made us feel so confident and comfortable, even through two long days of shooting in the cold, rainy weather with barely any sleep. The team made it all so easy, and as expected, the photos turned out to be just gorgeous!”
Now, as they prepare to tie the knot in Udaipur this February, their Scotland shoot remains one of their most cherished memories. “To be honest,” Janvi confesses, “I knew I wanted to work with Ivory Films before I even met Dharmik! I had been following their work for years, and I just knew, when it’s my turn, it has to be them.”
