A Goa wedding where chaos became the canvas for creativity
Wedding Planning - Mar 18, 2026
What began as months of meticulous planning suddenly collided with a nationwide airline disruption—grounding flights, scattering guests across cities, and delaying the one arrival that mattered the most: the bride and her family. Yet, in the middle of this chaos, the deft handling by the team at WeddingSutra Favorite – Amore World Events ensured that the wedding, hosted at Grand Hyatt Goa, ended up being executed as planned with the guests in attendance to make it a joyful celebration!

Wedding Planning
Ruchit Khannaa of Amore World Events says, “As guests were stranded across airports and itineraries collapsed by the hour, our hospitality and logistics teams went into overdrive, rerouting flights, coordinating multiple airlines, tracking arrivals in real time, and personally ensuring that the bride, her family, and the groom’s immediate family were brought to Goa through alternate routes. By the time 55%-60% of the guests had arrived, something incredible had happened—the crisis had turned into calm, and the wedding could finally begin. This wedding was a masterclass in crisis management, creativity, and calm under pressure. When flights failed and timelines collapsed, what stayed constant was precision, planning, and heart.”
Part of the magic was the décor by WeddingSutra Favorite – Castle Rock, who ensured that no detail was forgotten and every vision that the couple had was brought to life! A special highlight was the wedding mandap that the couple wanted created in a South Indian temple style.

Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The Mehendi was imagined as a Mediterranean dream by the sea. The décor transformed the lawn at the Goa venue into a beachside Italian escape.
The vibe was brought to life with a classic Vespa installation, wood-fired live pizza ovens, gelatos & popsicles for the guests to chill with, and breezy whites and soft blues colors.
The function ensured that the guests felt like they’d been transported into a luxury European holiday—playful, fresh, and effortlessly chic.

Sangeet
The sangeet had an Enchanted Forest theme with every visual curated to feel like a mystical woodland coming to life. The stage graphics weren’t just screens—they became an extension of a deep, immersive forest, pulling every guest into a world that felt cinematic and surreal.
Even when flights failed again—grounding the original band—a replacement band was locked in on the same day, while DJ Anil Malhotra was rerouted via Mumbai just in time to take over the night.
Add to that the unstoppable energy of Bang It Paaji on percussion, and the Sangeet became one of those nights people don’t forget—high on rhythm, emotion, and celebration.

Haldi
The Haldi was traditional, playful, emotional, and full of colour. Along with laughter, there were happy tears, and there was that quiet moment where the bride’s family finally felt the relief of being together after the storm. Sometimes, the most beautiful emotions are born from the hardest days.

Wedding
Honouring the couple’s wishes, the wedding ceremony, held by the seaside, was designed with a South Indian temple aesthetic—rooted in tradition, elegance, and spiritual warmth. The mandap, designed by Castle Rock Events, ensured that every pillar, flower, and detail aligned perfectly with the sacred temple vibe

After-Party
Set inside DIVE, the after-party was raw, electric, and wildly fun. The couple made their grand entry in a buggy, dancing in with their own signature swagger-style and from there, it was pure celebration till the very end. No scripts. No schedules. Just joy.
