A heady combination of green, ivory and orange – this couple’s close-knit roka ceremony exuded a charming homely vibe

Aayush Kwatra, co-founder of Atrangi Events and Ankita Mahajan, founder of Asyo Design’s roka ceremony was elegant, close-knit and exuded a comforting warmth. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Atrangi Events, the groom’s wedding planning company, the celebration was punctuated by candid moments of love.
Sharing how their paths crossed and their journey through the years, the couple fondly recollects, “We met at an architecture crash course and hardly spoke a word to each other. Little did we know that we’d end up in the same college, same class and later become the best of friends. We found our initial years of college difficult being in love but God had beautiful plans for us. We ended up together after 4 years of college and finally broke the news to our friends.
From the smallest gatherings to attending every Arijit Singh concert together, dinners and countless memorable trips. 8 years of officially pulling each other’s legs and growing together, there is so much more ahead of us. This is just the beginning!”
The close-knit affair was attended by immediate family the roka was planned keeping the smallest details in mind. Green foliage and white blooms with pops of orange adorned the venue. Orange being the groom’s favorite color was thoughtfully used via marigolds. Meanwhile, the minute details were looked into by the bride Ankita. Being ardent fans of Bollywood singer Arijit Singh, the roka ceremony had a non-stop playlist of the singer. Plus, personalised giveaways ensured everyone went home brimming with happy memories and goodies.
