The M&K Couture Studio is an exclusive, sequestered space created to indulge and inspire M&K’s most special clientele. Evoking the privacy and privilege of private royal chambers, the studio is an endeavor at creating a fairytale experience for brides-to-be.
They are privy to the most exclusive couture ensembles and limited edition work by designer duo Monica and Karishma; intricately designed lehengas, fusion gowns and sarees, from romantic and minimalistic to dramatic and decadent, there is something for every wedding occasion.
As we fall in love with their studio, we are treated to a delightful viewing of the designers’ latest bridal couture collection, ‘Tribal Princess in the Valley of Flowers’.
Every Jade collection is a showcase of the intricate detailing of artisanal craftsmanship. Inspired by indigenous patterns and prints, Monica and Karishma evoke influences as diverse as those of the tribes of Central Asia, Kashmiri motifs and dreamy embroidery on luxury fabric.
The heady designs are created from a colour palette of vibrant hues, enriched with delicate embellishments. Dramatic layers of sheer-on-solid fabric add to the mystique, creating an intoxicating synergy.
In addition to their latest bridal creations, the designers offer a customized Trousseau Packaging to their clients which consists of:
Trousseau Trunks– Bespoke M & K monogrammed trunks with the option of personalized engraving for brides. The vintage trousseau trunk evokes a grander, gracious history and will evolve past its storage capacity into a beautiful décor piece and memento of the wedding.
Tassel Bar– The JADE Bridal Heirlooms Tassel Bar is a version of the lollipop jar for the JADE bride’s indulgence; these fun accessories are part of the customization process for lehengas.
Shoes– The elegantly embellished surfaces hold their incredible strength and substance with subtle grace. Water soluble adhesives and biodegradable leather substitutes are used to create these cruelty-free vegan shoes. Bespoke, made in Italy, they are designed for long-wear comfort.
Bags– Their range of bags comprises colourful batwas and embellished clutches to accompany your couture outfit.
Silverware– A range of exquisite custom silverware includes optional engraving. These will enhance your hospitality at home and also make excellent wedding gifts. The studio also houses antiques from the designers’ personal collections.
