A Purple and White theme Engagement at the Atlantis Hotel, Dubai

‘The Asateer Tent’ at Atlantis Hotel, Dubai was transformed into a pristine ice princess set-up for the high profile engagement party of Tiffany and Amit, the scions of two business barons from Delhi. The celebration was managed by Tasneem of Dubai-based Event firm ‘Eventive’ who worked on the brief ‘Purple’, the bride Tiffany’s favorite color. Says Tasneem: “Tiffany wanted a clean and classy look so we decided to keep the décor white and then blended purple elements into it. When a color scheme is chosen as the theme, there is challenge to tastefully unite fabrics, decorations, and activities under the gamut of the colors. We created the ambience with lot of purple and ice blue lights, ice-sculptures as centerpieces, a Vodka bar made out of ice and ghost chairs that looked like ice.” But, explains Tasneem, executing all this took quite a lot of time and thinking. “The centerpieces had to be of a certain height and weight so that they did not melt before the event finished. Then, we had to take care of the water due to constant melting and obviously we didn’t want to see wet tables or carpets. Other elements of the evening included champagne angels who served crystal champagne all night, fire blowers and an electric violin player in a bubble.” No wonder for the guests, this was all more than a wow experience, and with the perfect food, decor and entertainment, Tiffany and Amit’s engagement was the talk of the town.
