A Regal Post-Wedding Photoshoot in the Erstwhile Residence of the Kings
Pre Wedding Photoshoots - Dec 5, 2018
While many couples choose to capture their love before their big day, truth is, there is no perfect time to take some romantic pictures together. Humera and Naseer believed they had all the time in the world and they decided to have a photo shoot at the gorgeous Taj Falaknuma Palace three whole years after their wedding. The frames clicked by WeddingSutra Favorite Sutra Snapperz shows just how much in love they still are!
The groom shares with us the highlights of their shoot.
How We Met
“Our families have known each other since we were young. We were friends but never imagined we would fall in love. Our paths were different. I went to study in Sydney and Humera continued her education in Bahrain. However, it all started when my wife’s family came on a vacation to Australia. I was the guide who took them all over and fell in love with the girl who would become my wife in the time to come.”
The Proposal
“The very first time I asked Humera out on a date I knew in my heart that this is the girl I would spend the rest of my life with. After being in a relationship for two years I mustered up the courage to pop the question after our second-year anniversary dinner. We were taking a stroll at the beautiful Sydney Harbour and I was waiting for when the weekend fireworks would go off. When that happened, I went down on one knee and proposed to Humera with a ring.”
Post Wedding Photoshoot
“Our post-wedding shoot was delayed for a couple of years due to our busy schedules. Heading towards our third marriage anniversary, we were really looking forward to a fun and romantic experience while trying to keep it young and fresh as though we had recently got married.
We shot at the opulent Taj Falaknuma Palace, which brought in a royal touch to the photographs despite the mood being light. To bring in an elegance of sorts, we chose a traditional black sherwani for me and for Humera, a contemporary beige saree.
The process took us back to our wedding night minus all the hoo-ha and the shenanigans. This time it was just us, in love and in awe of each other, which definitely brought us much closer. We really enjoyed taking pictures at twilight. Those pictures with the sun setting in the background while we walk hand in hand are excellent.
Another session inside the royal dining hall of the Nizams was very memorable. We took some romantic shots where I twirled Humera as she smiled and looked at me with a loving gaze.
A couple of exceptional shots with the magnificent Taj Falaknuma Palace in the background stand out for us. We tried to mimic Sabyasachi’s iconic photos, standing in front of each other wearing sunglasses and trying to look cool and sophisticated.
We have known Sutra Snapperz for a few years now and are glad to have chosen them to cover our wedding and our photo-shoots. They have a fantastic team, which made it a lot easier for us to feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. They always bring the best out of us! Shout out to Divya and Debashish for their outstanding effort.”
