A wedding by the Ganga to honor loving memories

When envisioning their wedding, Prschita and Saurav wanted a celebration on the banks of the Ganga to honour Prschita’s mom, who had passed away when she was not in the country. The dream was realized through the craft of WeddingSutra Favorite – Weddings by Fourth Munky at the stunning location along the Ganges in Rishikesh.

Wedding Planning
Ishita Sharma and Bhavneet Singh Chawla of Weddings by Fourth Munky say, “Working across time zones—through phone calls, video consultations, and Zoom meetings—we collaborated to transform this emotional vision into reality. The bride’s father, Group Captain Pramod, gave us the ultimate brief: ‘Do whatever my daughter wants. Make it truly special’.”
“Emotion was embedded in every detail—every flower choice, every lighting decision, every architectural element told Prschita’s story of love, loss, and celebration. The couple wanted their guests to feel the sacred energy of the Ganges, to witness a union blessed by spirituality, and to share in a deeply personal tribute. We delivered that through thoughtful design, meaningful rituals, and unwavering attention to their vision. The result was a wedding that became a spiritual experience, a family journey, and an eternal memory for everyone present.”
The team at Weddings by Fourth Munky chose a gold and cream palette, symbolizing spirituality. Brass and wooden accents were chosen to reflect temple craftsmanship. The purity and sacredness of the rituals were highlighted by marigold, jasmine, and white florals, with diyas and candlelight creating a divine ambience. Sacred geometry patterns were included in every installation, but the ultimate highlight was the Ganga, representing both nature and spirituality.

The couple shares, “Weddings by Fourth Munky delivered a flawlessly planned celebration. From the very beginning, the team was on point at every step, bringing clarity, structure, and reassurance when it mattered most. Their experience showed in every detail, allowing us to trust them completely. The events were beautifully executed, making the entire journey a smooth and memorable one.”

Jaimala
This ceremony saw a romantic “beach setup”, blending spirituality with modernity. The natural backdrop of the Ganga and sky required minimal embellishment, and focus was maintained on the couple’s connection, framed by subtle temple-inspired architectural elements.

Wedding ceremony
The centrepiece of the day’s aesthetic was a temple-inspired mandap on a riverside deck. Gold pillars with intricate carved details, diyas creating divine light, and sacred geometry in every angle. The design drew from temple architecture—the sanctity of a holy space where two souls unite.
