Aashna & Karan’s Platinum Day of Love
Love Actually, Pre Wedding Photoshoots - Jan 2, 2019
Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ features engaged couples and captures beautiful moments between them. The series celebrates people in love as they start their lives together. Over a fabulous makeover and a photo shoot, we get these couples to share how they met, capture the rare connection they have and talk about their day of love.
When Aashna and Karan were introduced to each other, they were a little hesitant at first. But that changed pretty quickly. As they shared their heart-warming story, Kodoclicker flawlessly captured their chemistry at a themed photoshoot at Escobar, Mumbai.
At their first date, Aashna and Karan hit it off really well and didn’t have to be prodded into making any decisions.
“I was nervous until I saw her smile. Then, as we spoke, everything felt so right! Following the date, we met and spoke for hours, almost daily. With things going so seamlessly, we didn’t realize our feelings for each other until one of us had to travel”, says Karan.
With a contagious smile on her face, Aashna agrees, “We never knew when to end a conversation, we would talk for hours at a time, and in just a few months we knew almost everything about each other. But distance did the magic for us! I didn’t know that I loved him until I missed him.”
First comes love, and then an unforgettable proposal! Karan says that planning one was, “…like our first date all over again, with the only difference being, I was sitting opposite the love of my life with a ring in my pocket! I planned a dinner for us at Sahara Star, and while she looked forward to a normal date, my happiness (and eagerness) knew no bounds.”
Aashna remembers the evening in vivid detail. She says, “On reaching the hotel, we walked towards the Ocean, a private dining restaurant. Seems usual right? If only I knew though! The entire restaurant decked up with heart balloons, flower petals, and candles was booked just for the two of us. And if this wasn’t enough, the customized 6-course menu sure did have me dancing on cloud nine! The restaurant is like an aquarium with glass on 3 sides and right after the first course, a scuba diver swam up to us with a board saying, “Will you marry me, Aash?” I turned around to find him bent on one knee!”
What’s the secret to their love?
“Our relationship means the world to me and something so rare and precious cannot be expressed through words. Love may be hard to find, but once you meet the right person, you’ll be surprised at how smoothly things begin to flow. Our story proves that! Which is why we feel platinum love bands, symbols of rarity and preciousness resonate and do complete justice to our story, further, being one of a kind, they symbolize the strength of our love like no other.”
A sundowner at the plush rooftop bar, Escobar, Mumbai, has Aashna beaming with joy!
With golden light glinting off the Mumbai skyline, the magic hour approached.
A picture perfect backdrop and a toast to their future!
But Aashna thinks, “Why is Karan so cheesy all of a sudden?”
“You have no idea what’s about to happen…” Karan says, keeping his plan to himself.
He then holds her hand, looks into her eyes and reminds her of how deeply he loves her.
Then, in a moment that resonates with all their memorable moments, he goes down on one knee again and asks her the question, “Will you Marry Me?”
“So, this is what you’ve been planning all this while?” asks Aashna.
“Of course, I’ll marry you!” and, She said ‘Yes’!
He didn’t just put a ring on her finger but also a smile on her face!
Bonded by a Platinum Love Band, a token so rare and precious!
The sunset on its journey for the day and the lovebirds continued to celebrate!
The sky changed from gold to black velvet and the couple clinked glasses!
A reminder that time goes by in circles but love moves ever forward.
Aashna and Karan’s Platinum Day of Love was captured by Kodoclicker whose talent and artistic vision is evident in the splendid captures. Makeup artist and hairstylist, Safa Malim ensured the lovebirds were camera-ready! Platinum jewellery from Popley & Sons brought in a whole new nuance to the romance.
