An after-party that served up nostalgia and high-energy vibes
Wedding Planning - Mar 27, 2026
While the wedding celebrations were traditional and elegant, when it came to the after-party this couple wanted a theme that stood out a bit. And so, they decided on a theme that was bold, playful and high on energy with a touch of nostalgia. Curated perfectly by WeddingSutra Favorite – House of Homes, this party was all about recalling the wonder years of the 2000s with a Y2K inspired disco theme.

Bhavna Mordani of House of Homes says, “The couple wanted the after party to feel completely different from the main wedding celebrations. They were keen on a Y2K inspired disco theme that felt nostalgic yet contemporary with strong Gen Z influences. The focus was on creating a fun, immersive environment that encouraged dancing, candid moments and an effortless party vibe rather than formal decor.”
Hosted at INKA by Bastian in Mumbai, a venue known for its vibrant and contemporary ambiance, this was a late-night celebration with a high energy atmosphere.
The theme, “Y2K Disco After Party,” was designed to bring early 2000s nostalgia into a modern celebration setting.

The decor featured statement 4D silver balloons, reflective disco balls, metallic accents and playful installations that transformed the venue into a high gloss party zone. The idea was to create visual movement and sparkle, especially under low lighting, so the space felt dynamic and immersive.
Bhavna Mordani adds, “One special request from the couple was to ensure that the decor felt Instagram-worthy but not overwhelming. They wanted strong photo moments while still allowing the venue’s personality to shine through. The setup was carefully styled to balance boldness with refinement, ensuring the after party felt elevated rather than gimmicky.”
The result was an energetic yet stylish celebration space that perfectly transitioned guests from the wedding formalities into a vibrant night of music and celebration.
