We are excited to announce that 2018 WeddingSutra Photography Awards, one of the world’s leading wedding photography competitions, are now open for entries. Submit your best work from 2017-18 at www.wsengage.com/wpa
WeddingSutra.com, India’s No. 1 Bridal Media Brand launched WeddingSutra Photography Awards in 2017 to inspire and honor the best in wedding photography and filmmaking in India. WeddingSutra.com has been shaping the wedding industry for over 17 years and have shined the spotlight on wedding photography for decades making it a covetable profession. The Awards will give vast exposure, visibility, and opportunity to wedding photographers and filmmakers across the country.
Wedding Photographers can submit their entries in the following categories.
| Wedding Photographer of the Year | Nominations to include a series of 6-12 photos taken at one wedding. |
| Wedding Filmmaker of the year | Nominations to include short films no longer than 10 minutes taken at one wedding. |
| Pre-Wedding Films | Nominations to include short films no longer than 10 minutes shot after the engagement to tell the story of the couple’s love. |
| Pre-wedding Photography | This category includes images from engagements and pre-wedding shoots done not on the day of wedding. |
| Bridal Portraits | Portraits of bride or groom alone as well as together. |
| Friends and Family Portraits | Portraits of the bridal party i.e., bridesmaids, groomsmen, parents, siblings and other family. |
| Wedding Details | From the rings and mehndi to décor, mandap, cake and table settings there are endless elements of a wedding in detail. |
Visual and Emotional impact, composition, image design and technical ability are the key parameters for judging across all categories of the Awards. Experts with a background in photography, design and filmmaking will come together to decide the best images entered into the WeddingSutra Photography Awards.
Anita Dongre
Anita Dongre has been at the forefront of fashion for over 20 years, having created one of the most successful fashion houses in India. A metaphor for supreme craftsmanship, Anita Dongre’s designs showcase Indian aesthetics in a contemporary language.
Ivy
Ivy is a Vogue published fashion wedding photographer, whose work has been featured worldwide. She has photographed in over a dozen countries and is the co-founder of Ivy Weddings with her husband, Matt, and the founder of a fashion jewellery line.
Pye Jirsa
Pye is a founder and Partner of Lin and Jirsa Photography, a boutique Southern California wedding and portrait photography firm. He also co-founded SLR Lounge, a thriving educational community for photographers.
Ray Roman
He is widely considered one of the top wedding and event cinematographers in the world. Ray routinely travels the globe documenting weddings for high profile clients and discerning couples, as well as numerous star athletes. Ray has been the official wedding cinematographer for the Trump family. A winner of countless International awards for his work, Ray is the first and only wedding cinematographer in the world to be named a Zeiss Ambassador by Carl Zeiss Lenses.
Rid Burman
Rid Burman is known for his remarkable journey as a Celebrity & Fashion Photographer. After Graduating from the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography, Burman has worked extensively with international and Indian fashion brands as well as magazines.
