Anoli and Priyen’s Platinum day of Love
Love Actually, Pre Wedding Photoshoots - Sep 18, 2018
Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ features engaged couples and captures beautiful moments between them. The series celebrates the beautiful people in love as they start their lives together. Over a fabulous makeover and a photo shoot, we get these couples to share how they met, capture the rare connection they share and talk about their day of love.
Anoli and Priyen’s romance blossomed over several mini trips to scenic escapes. It only followed that we’d encapsulate their love story with the gorgeous Lodha Belmondo as a backdrop – a 100-acre luxury resort, set on the banks of the Pavana river, offering a luxury living experience. “They say you know that you have found true love when you find yourself falling in love with the same person over and over again. This is exactly how I realized Priyen was the one for me,” Anoli says, beaming.
The couple met at a sangeet practice and were paired as dance partners. Little did they know they’d be matching steps for life. “As we got chatting we began to hang out,” Anoli recalls, “At one point, I told him jokingly that we had been spending so much time together, we knew each other so well, that I was surprised he hadn’t proposed to me yet.” Priyen’s answer left Anoli awestruck. She says, smiling, “He said that he wouldn’t propose to me until he was financially independent and knew that he would be able to give me and our family a happy living.” Her smile gets wider, “I could feel my heart race and I realized that he was a gentleman who was looking for sincerity and commitment in his relationship. For me, that was it. That was the day I knew I was going to marry him.”
“Until I met him, I was convinced that I was not someone who was made for mushy romance and coy giggles,” she says. But it all changed at that first sangeet practice when Priyen introduced her to a brand new side of herself. “He made me blush and I had butterflies in my stomach! This was all so confusing because not only did I find myself getting pulled towards him, but it also made me question some very fundamental beliefs about myself which is very rare. It would be safe to say that not only did he bring out an absolutely uncharacteristic side of me, but also I made me feel surprisingly comfortable with it.”
It’s obvious this bond is precious and their connection, rare. Anoli says, “If I were to draw a parallel, I would have to say that our love is as rare and precious as platinum. No one but he has managed to get me to remodel my perspective about myself and I have never met anyone who is this earnest about love. He is the only one of his kind, and these qualities in him make our relationship truly unique.”
To ensure each special moment the couple shared was preserved in beautiful frames, KnotsbyAMP spent the day on their toes.
Anoli and Priyen planned a quick getaway to the LODHA Belmondo.
For a reluctant romantic like Anoli, the picture-perfect setting only helped enhance the mood.
Anoli: It’s just the break we needed to take. Priyen: And I’ll say cheers to that!
Happiness is the sound of the clinking of glasses.
That look. She knows something is up. But what exactly…
Priyen: Cheeky grin, your hand in mine – love and laughter will fill our lifetime.
Priyen: In the quiet spaces, is where we can be ‘us’.
That’s the guy who made her believe in pure, mushy romance.
Anoli said “Yes!” and the couple found their Platinum Day of Love.
Anoli: I knew something was coming but I just couldn’t tell what!
Priyen: Of course you couldn’t! I’m great at keeping secrets!
Anoli: I have a secret I must tell you too.
Anoli: There is no else I’d rather see the sunset with besides you.
A kiss sealed their promise.

and with that, they set out on a new journey together.
As the day comes to an end Anoli gently touched the jewellery she wore, “Every ornament was beautifully crafted, but what made it truly special was they were all cast in platinum. The preciousness of this metal resonates with the bond Priyen and I share. To each other, we an invaluable – there are times when I could be feeling very restless for no particular reason but just being with him, even if for a few minutes makes it all better. Magic is rare to find, yet being with him is an experience that is every bit magical. Therefore, we could not have found a better way to express our love than with platinum love bands,” Anoli says.
With WeddingSutra Favourites orchestrating the shoot, the day flew by with ease. Makeup artists Shaili Shah had Anoli’s makeup on point through the day while Ranka Jewellers, Pune picked out the most exquisite platinum creations for the couple.
Set on the banks of the Pavana river, Lodha Belmondo, with its 90 acres of open greens amidst the mesmerizing views of the Sahyadris offered the shoot captivating vistas.
