Anupreet and Akshit’s Stunning Pre-Wedding Shoot in Leh Ladakh
Pre Wedding Photoshoots - Jan 2, 2018
They say the surreal landscapes of Leh-Ladakh, the awe-inspiring ranges of the Karakoram and the Himalayas, the glaciers, the icy desert are like walking on the moon. Redefining the concept of ‘nature’ and its beauty, the arid mountains, sweeping vistas, dotted with Buddhist gompas and monasteries, the area is an inspiration for many travellers. The inhospitable terrain and harsh climatic conditions only add to its mystery and allure. The peaceful Shanti Stupa, surreal Pangong Lake, the highest cold-desert called Nubra Valley, Khardung-La Mountain Pass and the awe-inspiring Magnetic Hill are just a few places in this land of dreams.
Anupreet and Akshit fell in love with this tough, multi-faceted, stunning destination and defying the thin oxygen levels, they braced themselves for an epic pre-wedding shoot in this picturesque paradise.
Anupreet shares their beautiful journey of love and highlights from the shoot at the top of the world.
How we met
“We met quite by accident through a mutual best friend and didn’t even realise when our friendship developed into something much more magical. The first time we hung out, we binge watched some funny videos on YouTube and it’s safe to say everything began then…”
Pre-Wedding Shoot
“The pre-wedding shoot results exceeded all our expectations! Our photographer and good friend Naman did an amazing job. We’d actually decided we’d like to take a trip to Ladakh before the wedding and realized that the only way that would happen is if we planned a pre-wedding shoot around that. We had no intention of some grand shoot and I started making plans with Naman. It was the perfect scenario because you are going to Ladakh with the love of your life and your best friend so it was bound to be fun! We started with plans for a 4-day trip and casual clothes which ended up being a 9-day trip with more than 70kgs of clothes. We packed our bags and set out for the trip of our lifetime! It was the best trip ever. There were actually no challenges and the results of the shoot were far better than we’d hoped for. It was fun and easy and we had the best food and the best time.”
