Anusha and Preet’s Pre-Wedding Photo Shoot in Paris – The City of Lights

Paris inspired Hemingway and Balzac, impressionist artists and love stories but when you walk the cobbles of Saint-Germain or stand before the backlit silhouette of Notre Dame, the city’s charm transcends cliché. Starry-eyed lovers actually do stroll hand-in-hand along the River Seine or linger in sidewalk cafes speaking French, the “language of love”. Music does waft out at precisely perfect moments and the cuisine does seem infused with aphrodisiacs.
Anusha and Preet fell head over heels in love with Paris and decided on a pre-wedding shoot (with a surprise proposal thrown in) in Paris as the city in the backdrop.
Here, we share their beautiful journey of love and highlights from the shoot.
How we met
Preet is an anesthesia resident and Anusha, a VP at HSBC in Business Management. They met in 2012 through mutual friends but only started dating in 2014 after Anusha moved into the same apartment building as Preet.
Pre-Wedding Shoot
Preet planned a surprise! Months in advance, he began work – contacting photographers in Paris and finally came across Antoine of ‘My Photographer in Paris’ for the shoot. Anusha had no idea.
After landing in Paris, the couple went shopping and picked up a bunch of outfits including, clothes for the two-day shoot in front of the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and the Trocadero. After a surprise proposal, they even went looking for heart-shaped balloons – having imagined a photo with Preet holding Anusha up as she held on to the balloons. They did manage the balloons but overnight the balloons deflated. With a never say die attitude though, the couple managed the shot!
What they loved as much as the shoot were people’s reactions to them being shot. Some stared, some took photos of the photoshoot and some just hurried out of the frame in embarrassment. As a result, the couple was comfortable even in public and the intimate moments rang true.
