Artistic splashes of vibrant hues and Italian-inspired elements made this couple’s artistic haldi celebration a visual treat!
Wedding Planning - Nov 7, 2024
Stepping away from the monotony and embracing many hues instead of the usual yellow and white themed celebration, Ashuli and Anurag’s haldi celebration was an ode to the family’s love for colors. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Zesst Events and Weddings, the event showcased themes inspired by Italy, and artistic elements with a traditional Indian twist.
Aakash Doshi from Zesst Events and Weddings shares, “Both the families and the couple share an avid love for art and the vibrant culture of Italy. As we brainstormed, we decided to come up with a unique theme that merges both these elements to create a haldi celebration that is truly out-of-the-box. ‘The Paintbrush Theme’ was inspired by the streets of Florence Italy. The event also included various art-centric and Italy-inspired entertainment corners such as canvas and crayon stations, perfume tie-dye counters, and block printing with organic colors. Everything was tied in neatly with a pleasurable gastronomic journey for the guests with renowned chefs crafting authentic dishes from cities around the world. Fun games, family dance performances and a witty anchor made the experience even more flavorful for the guests.”
Mindful of the fact that Indian weddings possess intricate rituals, the planning team ensured the haldi was a seamless merger between the old and new. The couple shares, “Our guests loved how we blended traditional rituals with contemporary art. The live painting and the interactive counters were such a special touch—they captured the essence of our celebration and will be a cherished memory for us and our families forever. The culinary journey was also a big hit! Each dish brought a taste of different cultures to our plates, and everyone raved about the delicious flavors.”
