Big Indian Wedding in Cannes

This time the Destination is Cannes. The big shaadi is taking place at the heart of the city that steps into the spotlight once a year when shining stars and international events come together for the film festival. Kunal Grover, the son of prominent London socialite Pamela Grover is marrying Ria Dubash from Nepean Sea Road, Mumbai. The 3 day celebrations take place between 11th and 13th October, and the functions include the formal welcome dinner, Bollywood theme sangeet and the wedding cum reception.
Intercontinental Carlton Cannes
Most of the guests are staying at Carlton Cannes and JW Marriott Cannes, both overlooking the Bay of Cannes, and located on the Boulevard de La Croisette, famous for the Cannes Film Festival and designer shopping. The Groom’s mother is a close friend of many Bollywood bigwigs, so many of them including Gauri and SRK, Pinky and Rakesh Roshan, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor will be there for the celebrations. The wedding is managed by Percept D’Mark for whom it is the second big Europe destination wedding this season. Earlier this month they managed the wedding hosted by Dubai-based Uttamchandanis in Salzberg. The other shaadi specialists involved with the Grover-Dubash wedding include Manish Malhotra who has designed clothes for the groom’s side and Makeup maestro Mickey Contractor who will be dressing up the bride. Bollywood’s favorite dance choreographer for weddings Rajendra Masterji has choreographed the fun Sangeet.
JW Marriott Cannes
Kunal, a graduate of LSE, later studied in Harvard Business School and after a short stint in Booz Allen Hamilton he now works in his family business (Simba Group of Companies) in Lagos. Ria schooled in South Mumbai and she writes on Luxury for some prominent fashion magazines and lifestyle blogs.
