Bridal Glow #WeddingRituals from Real Brides-To-Be
Bridal Fashion and Beauty, WeddingSutra Engage, Wedding Summit & Masterclass - Dec 21, 2015
Brides-to-be can always do with a little advice on beauty rituals as they rush around prepping for their big day. We caught up with two brides-to-be at the WeddingSutra Bridal MasterClass in association with Kaya Skin Clinic and they shared their skin regimen and tips they swear by.
ALISHA
“My beauty regime is a natural, herbal one. The secret to my clear skin is a home remedy – a gram flour, milk and turmeric face pack. In addition to my usual face wash, I use this regularly. I’ve also realized the right diet is most essential for flawless skin. I’m prone to acne breakouts and to prevent them, I’ve strictly followed a no-oil, home food diet. I also drink a lot of water with a lemon and cucumber infusion. Applying ice on the face is great for hydration and closing open pores. As D-day is closing in, I’ve also resolved to not use make-up for a month before the wedding.”
“My advice to brides-to-be is to understand your own skin type and then, begin a skin routine. If you’re approaching a professional, give her enough time to customize a long-term plan for you. The more time you have at hand before your wedding, the better she will be able to help. And most of all, please don’t experiment with a new skin regimen just before your wedding. If it doesn’t work out for you, you will be left feeling awful!”
Alisha M will be getting married on January 31, 2016.
ADITI
“My skin regimen is simple: I wash my face twice a day using a suitable face wash. By day, I use sunscreen and apply a night cream to protect my face. I make a neem leaf infusion and regularly apply it to my face with a cotton swab to take care of any blemishes that may appear. I also apply ice to my face to close pores and for hydration. I don’t like facials, so this works for me. I drink a lot of water, eat six small meals a day with lots of vegetables and fruit and I rarely eat out. And I practise yoga. People don’t believe me when I tell them that it is the secret to having flawless skin. It also helps my general wellbeing.”
“I would advise other brides-to-be to watch what they eat, drink enough water, sleep well and most of all, exercise.”
Aditi Jesrani will be getting married on December 30, 2015.
