Anushruti Agarwal and Kush Swarup took the phrase “The Big Fat Indian Wedding” to new heights with their grandiose destination wedding in Jaipur. Wedding Planning
In a first for the Pink City, the luxury properties of Fairmont Jaipur, Raffles Jaipur, and Le Méridien Jaipur Resort & Spa were bought out for the grand wedding of Anushruti and Kush. The couple entrusted the team of The Global Design Co. to bring their dream wedding to life.
The team shares, “The couple’s vision was to achieve a truly unique decor that transformed Fairmont Jaipur into a dreamy palace, focusing on enchanting elements, luxurious details, and an overall atmosphere of elegance and fantasy. Instead of a traditional welcome, we created a replica of the Ram Temple, inspired by Ayodhya. A priest was also brought in from Ayodhya, accompanied by Shankh pandits, to welcome guests during the check-in process.”

Wedding Functions
Welcome Lunch
The modern welcome lunch was followed by a joyous Mehndi celebration. The guests were welcomed to paint their hands with stunning henna designs, and given a number of wedding favors, including personalized engraved glasses, hand-painted umbrellas, and bespoke fragrances from the “Make your own perfume station”.
Sangeet
Embracing a scintillating palette of red and black, the Sangeet night was adorned with a plethora of antique designs and props, creating an atmosphere of decadence. Striking floral arrangements, vintage chandeliers, and more decked the evening while the stunning stage was set on fire with memorable performances.
Haldi
The next morning dawned with a chic Haldi ceremony. Eschewing the usual traditional palette of yellow and orange, the occasion was transformed into the floral paradise of lavender!
Wedding
The wedding kickstarted with a rousing baraat, for which a grand 25,000 square foot AC hanger was set up to provide a comfortable haven amidst the heat and humidity of July. Imagined in an ethereal palette of all white, the wedding was as magical as could be, brimming with floral arrangements, pearl and crystal accents, chandeliers, plush seating, floral elephants, and more. A stunning floral depiction of Shrīnāthjī made for an awe-inspiring addition.
