Concept Tables at WeddingSutra Influencer Awards by Arpita Mehta
WeddingSutra Influencer Awards - May 10, 2018
The WeddingSutra Influencer Awards, besides being an occasion meant to honor excellence, was also a glittering platform for some of the most esteemed fashion designers in the industry. Christened ‘Experience Partners’, each designer created two concept tables inspired by their latest wedding collections and added a wealth of visual resonance. In the previous part of this series, we brought to you Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika’s quirky table inspired by the new age bride, this time we shine the spotlight on Arpita Mehta’s setup.
Charmed by the concept and visuals of an enchanted forest designer Arpita Mehta borrowed magic from earthy elements and incorporated blooms and butterflies into her setup at the event. To further the organic appeal of the tables, she brought in a few rustic features. The amalgamation of these aesthetics gave birth to a stand out setup that was loved by all.
The designer created an oasis of greens in the middle of the table. Large cat palm leaves took center stage and brightly hued sunflowers were placed in the same vase to play up the color story. Baby’s breaths, too, were used as part of the arrangement to bring in a wispy look. The large tree trunk coaster on which this sat, also accommodated a Morrocan style lamp, candles with butterfly cut-outs on them, jars wrapped in twine rope and artistically positioned baby’s breaths.
While she stuck to a basic white overlay, she made us of burlap table runners that were edged with lace and had bunches of white flowers attached to both ends. The chair-ties too were made using the same fabric and were adorned with baby’s breaths to bring in a delicate touch.
