Concept Tables at WeddingSutra influencer Awards by Nikhil Thampi
WeddingSutra Influencer Awards - May 18, 2018
The WeddingSutra Influencer Awards, besides being an occasion meant to honor excellence, was also a glittering platform for some of the most esteemed fashion designers in the industry. Christened ‘Experience Partners’, each designer created two concept tables inspired by their latest wedding collections and added a wealth of visual resonance. In the previous part of this series, we brought to you Nachiket Barve’s table inspired by the tale of King Midas, this time we shine the spotlight on the Nikhil Thampi’s setup.
The thought of a wedding rarely ever evokes images of black décor. However, Nikhil Thampi decided to shake things up a little at his tables by creating a gorgeous black and rose gold setup. The colors complemented each other perfectly and looked like they belonged at a refined wedding party. The deep hue with the metallic touches made an especially amazing combination for winter celebrations.
With large floral chandeliers reminiscent of a floral shower at an Indian nuptials, these tables were easily two of the most eye-catching ones at the event. The colossal installation with metal flowers cascading from the ceiling to a little above the candles inspired a sense of awe. To further the floral theme, small fresh blooms were scattered on the mirror that lay in the middle of the table covered in an all-black, full drop tablecloth.
A stylishly draped black ties on the chair backs were enhanced by small bunches of rose gold and natural flowers. To add a personal touch to the arrangement, thank you notes with the designer’s logo were placed on the black napkins.
