Concept Tables at WeddingSutra Influencer Awards by Sherina Dalamal
WeddingSutra Influencer Awards - May 16, 2018
The WeddingSutra Influencer Awards, besides being an occasion meant to honor excellence, was also a glittering platform for some of the most esteemed fashion designers in the industry. Christened ‘Experience Partners’, each designer created two concept tables inspired by their latest wedding collections and added a wealth of visual resonance. In the previous part of this series, we brought to you Bhairavi Jaikishan’s table inspired by the elements of a successful marriage, this time we shine the spotlight on the setup by Sherina Dalamal of Cherie D.
One of the most enduring symbols of love, roses are rightly the first flowers to come to mind when speaking about romance. Sherina Dalamal went all out and filled her table with this quintessential wedding flower that is seeing a new revival. She also incorporated glass elements to the mix in order to bring in a touch of stylishness.
A large mirror of the size of the table which was placed on top of the muted overlay made for a reflective canvas over which she painted a picture of modern elegance. In the center of the table top, a large arrangement of lush green was placed in a crystal stand that stood atop a mirrored tray. Bunches of deep red roses encircled this element while glass candle holders dispersed a warm glow over the setup. At every seat, the designer placed a personalized box of fresh blooms next to the crisp napkins which were folded with one white rose each.
The theme, needless to say, was extended even to the chair ties that bore large roses created out of white fabric. This was a setup that packed nostalgia in a trendy aesthetic.
