Concept Tables at WeddingSutra Influencer Awards by Shivan and Narresh
WeddingSutra Influencer Awards - May 4, 2018
The WeddingSutra Influencer Awards was an occasion meant to honor excellence and it was only fitting for a celebration like this to offer an experience that was unlike any other. The event was also a glittering platform for some of the most esteemed fashion designers in the industry. Christened ‘Experience Partners’, each designer created two concept tables inspired by their latest wedding collections. Adding a wealth of visual resonance, their muses and guests also came dressed in outfits from their recent lines furthering the glamour quotient of the event.
Designer duo Shivan and Narresh, whose latest collections are inspired by the alluring archipelago of Seychelles, dedicated their tables to the islands of Praslin and La Digue respectively.
The first table showcased designs evocative of La Digue that allowed the guests to immerse in the invigorating rush of the blazing waves of Seychelles. The tables overlay feature design that channeled the invigorating rush of the blazing waves of Seychelles and the slivers of secluded white sand. An arrangement of white flowers and tropical leaves sat atop a tripod of wooden sticks and suspended glass globe holders with flickering candles bathed the tables in an ethereal glow. On the table, cylindrical candles wrapped with lush leaves furthered the tropical vibe of the setting. The table also features crisp white napkins that took a swirling form and Seychelles itineraries printed over customized cards made by Evolis that were a reflection of Seychellois aesthetics.
Praslin influenced the design of the overlays on the duo’s second table. A feast to the eyes, the subtle finesse of a nuanced Praslin print introduced a neutral zone of chromatic indulgence. While they maintained a synergy across both setups, subtle differences could be noticed in the underplates and table napkins.
