A Day with WeddingSutra Favorites – Akanksha Rathi
WeddingSutra Favorites - Oct 23, 2018
‘A Day with WeddingSutra Favorites’ is all about WeddingSutra bringing its wedding planning enthusiasm and expertise to excited to-be-weds. We customize a program for one lucky WeddingSutra reader, which includes visiting a specially curated list of jewellery experts, wedding couturiers, and other specialists. This process has turned out to be invaluable for couples planning their wedding.
Bride-to-be Akanksha tells us all about her ‘Day with WeddingSutra Favorites’.
Akanksha and her fiancé Karan had already crossed paths in school and later college but their stars aligned only when they actually interacted years later, in an elevator!
After an eventful day with the eclectic group of WeddingSutra Favorites, Akanksha told us how each expert helped her tick a few things off her wedding planning list. From beauty consultations to invitation cards, this is how the bride got prepped and pampered in anticipation of her big day. Check out the highlights of her day captured by Rajesh Digital below:
Stop 1: Ghungat by Shaveta & Anuj
“Ghungat by Shaveta & Anuj is a haven for fashionistas! Their captivating range of Indian, contemporary, ethnic and bridal wear beautifully marries Indian craftsmanship with contemporary comfort. I was treated to a one-on-one consultation with Shaveta herself and she was so generous with her expertise regarding the selection of fabric, style, cut and color. I was pleasantly surprised by their efforts to match a style to my personality. Their collection will leave you spoilt for choice. I should know. I tried on a few and then found not one, not two but three beautiful lehengas that made me want to twirl like a princess!”
Stop 2: Hazoorilal Legacy
“The authentic jewellery at Hazoorilal features intricate designs that present precious pearls and metals in the most unique way. As beautiful as the baubles are, their staff’s warm and welcoming attitude left me amazed. I tried on everything! From their expensive haars to their pocket-friendly pieces it was all so wonderful. Also, both my mother and I place a strong emphasis on quality and this place, surpassed our expectations. They mentioned that the brand was launched 65 years ago and today, with ethnic yet modern styles, they sure do craft a glorious legacy.”
Stop 3: Turmeric Ink
“The minute I walked in I knew Turmeric Ink wasn’t just another designing house. Their creations spelled innovation and personalization. Their talent, passion and meticulous approach were clearly highlighted in their contemporary range. From prints with cultural and historical significance to bold modern patterns, their exclusive designs are aesthetically appealing yet affordable. I even got a chance to interact with the mastermind, Sonal Agarwal Jolly herself. Each card I picked had a beautiful tale behind it. Whether it was the color or the tone of content, everything held significance! I believe their myriad personalization services and one-of-a-kind designs stem from their remarkable in-house designing team.”
Step 4: T’zires
“My chat with Tejveen of T’zires was fun and really insightful. She shared her knowledge and expertise in trousseaux and gift packaging, but what was really infectious was her unmatched enthusiasm. It just enhanced the entire experience. My mother and I were completely blown away by her recyclable tips and ideas and we took back something no Pinterest pin would have shared with us!”
