Decor Inspirations at Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort & Spa
Destination Weddings - Nov 29, 2016
Set in the heart of a nature reserve, hemmed by the Pantai Dalit Beach, this resort provides endless enchantment and is the picture-perfect locale for anyone seeking a nature-inspired Destination Wedding.
A sense of luxe tranquility permeates the 326 rooms of the Garden Wing while the new Ocean Wing offers an exclusive hospitality experience for discerning travelers who prize privacy and the finer things in life.
With its tropical gardens and a brand new swimming pool, the Rasa Ria Resort and Spa provides a special inspiration to those who want a mix of relaxation and revelry.
Here are some décor ideas from actual weddings hosted at the resort.
Rustic Garden Wedding
Kimberly and Guan hosted a rustic chic wedding at the Shangri-la Rasa Ria Resort and Spa. They set up trestle tables with gilded Tiffany chairs, lush floral table-scapes and suspended gorgeous brass geometric planters with lights inside for a glamorous setting.
The sea breeze and sounds of the ocean added to the ambiance and it was magic.
White and Blush Pink Wedding
Evonne and Daniel held their wedding in the lush gardens of the Shangri-la Rasa Ria Resort and Spa, Kota Kinabalu, overlooking the sea. The white color scheme was infused with elements of silver and blush and that whimsy was translated into floral arches, beautiful table settings and centerpieces. The aisle lined with an abundance of roses and every tiny touch made this a wedding that was totally Instagram-worthy.
Silver and White Rio-Havana Themed Wedding
Davina and Edward brought a touch of elegance and sophistication to their rendering of the Rio Carnivale. This Havana-themed wedding was inspired by their love to dance and while they did bring in touches of the carnival – feathers, bling, rhythmic music and a festive atmosphere – they discarded the loud, gaudy flamboyance to create a stylish, beautiful celebration.
Aqua Blue Themed Wedding
Emily and Kai knew that blue represents trust, dependability and commitment. So they chose the color as the theme on which their wedding décor was created. A peaceful, harmonious setting was built with an altar on the beach draped in different shades of aqua blue, decorated with white and blue flowers. Kai’s bridesmaid wore a darker shade of blue and it looked stunning against the white sand and the blue ocean!
