Dolly and Dharin’s stylish Pre Wedding Photoshoot in London
Pre Wedding Photoshoots, Wedding Photography & Films - Feb 10, 2017
From the artsy Southbank neighborhood to the iconic Millennium Bridge, Dolly and Dharin’s pre wedding photoshoot captured true moments of romance and friendship amidst the fabulous locales of London.
How We Met
“Dolly and I first met in Dubai in 2009 – she was still in high school while I had just moved to Dubai as a student. She was a typical Dubai girl while I was a simple Vadodara guy. Our first reaction upon meeting each other was an absolute “No!” We were totally different and had differing opinions! Friendship was not in the picture, let alone marriage! Fast-forward to 2013, she flew down to my hometown in Vadodara, to meet my family. I don’t know what had changed in these 4 years, but the minute I saw her I just knew she was the one!
Soon after she left, I moved to Dubai for work. As we got closer, we realized we had more in common than we thought. Our casual meetings turned into romantic dates. After three years of dating, I finally planned to pop the question while horse-riding on a sunny morning in Dubai. I still remember she was so annoyed because I forced her to meet me at 5 am. I went down on one knee, in true blue Bollywood style and am glad that she instantly agreed to marry me!”
Pre Wedding Photoshoot
“We have had many fond memories in London as both of us had studied there. While shortlisting locations for our pre-wedding photoshoot, London seemed the obvious choice. Working with our photographer from New York we zeroed in on a number of locations around the city. Our aim was to not only cover the important London landmarks but also shoot in some offbeat locations that are also quintessentially ‘London’.
We organized the shoot primarily around the South Bank area of the Thames. There are a number of tourist attractions there – The London Eye, The Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster, Big Ben, Kingston upon the Thames and the Millenium Bridge. They were perfect backdrops to some fun, romantic pictures.”
