Egypt’s Sites and Streets Offered Authentic, Exotic Backdrops for Rishabh and Geetanshu’s Pre-Wedding Shoot

Its compelling history and modern buzz attracted Rishabh and Geetanshu to Cairo, Egypt, and their pre-wedding shoot there was a heady mix of historical sites, contemporary vistas and dramatic frames
Egypt’s world-famous ancient sites, the majestic Nile river, and stark desert landscapes have left visitors spellbound for centuries. Enticed by its history and dramatic vistas, Rishabh and Geetanshu chose Cairo for their pre-wedding shoot which was conceptualized and captured by WeddingSutra Favourite – Divine Mantra. Here, Geetanshu and the Divine Mantra team share highlights of this path-breaking pre-wedding shoot which was probably the first for an Indian couple in Egypt.
How We Met
“I am an endodontist by profession, and Rishabh is a chemical engineer. We were set up by our parents, but both of us believe that we were brought together by destiny. We both graduated from Manipal University and stayed right next to each other’s buildings yet never met during those four years. Hence, our meeting like this was destined to be and looking back we are so glad how everything fell into place.”
The Pre-Wedding Shoot
“We met the Divine Mantra team through our wedding planners and having them shoot our pre-wedding pictures was the best decision ever! Both Ira and Kapil are talented, hardworking and devoted to their art. Also, they were super cooperative and made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. We are so looking forward to the magic they’ll create for our upcoming wedding.”
“We never thought that pre-wedding shoots could be so draining and intense. The theme and creative parts were all figured out by our capable wedding photographers. Having chosen Egypt which was quite an unorthodox destination, we did come across a few hurdles while shooting but all in all, we can say that it was a memorable affair for both of us and the pictures reflect that,” shares Geetanshu.
Team Divine Mantra adds, “We wanted the mystical beauty of the pyramids to reflect the beautiful story of the couple. We knew through our research that it would be challenging to shoot in Egypt, given the number of laws plus the overall limitations that the city posed. The weather was also an issue since we were shooting in September in the scorching heat. But we couldn’t let all of this stop us from shooting. Our lovely couple not only cooperated but were extremely enthusiastic about everything we had conceptualized which made our job even easier! Overall, as difficult as it might have been, the beautiful outcome has made it all worth it. We take great pride in being the first to have done a couple still/video shoot in Cairo, Egypt!”
