Your wedding should be a reflection of who you are, what you like and your inspirations. While ever-evolving wedding trends can definitely be a great source for ideas, what make your big day special are the elements that showcase you and your partner’s unique personalities and tastes.
Radhika Nathwani, founder of the UK-based wedding planning collective Radhika & You, conceptualized and created a vibrant wedding decor shoot to inspire newly engaged couples. The bold yet feminine and romantic tones of the set up, and interesting textures used in styling, floral decoration, confectionary, and the cake are striking and memorable.
Designed in an outdoor setting, the decor includes a profusion of vibrant blooms in popping colors of fuchsia, violet and orange interspersed with the white and blue flowers and lush foliage. The floral concoction also extends to the table settings for both outdoor and indoor setups, as well as the bridal bouquet arrangement that is rustic in vibe, yet chic.
An explosion of exotic fruits add an alluring Mediterranean vibe to the setup, while myriad gourmet confectionary and other desserts is reminiscent of Parisian poise. Bathed in an abundance of natural light, the indoor settings include Victorian chandeliers that add to the grandeur of the scene, while bright colors of the decor are perfectly offset by sophisticated white and golden furniture, linens and tableware.
A glass board hoisted on a golden easel showcases the guest list and makes for an arresting sight. The showstopper, however, is the four-tier white and gold cake with an abstract design, festooned with sprigs of bright flowers.
The elegant decor is contemporary and elegant, and has a gentle vintage nuance. Ideal for formal events such as a cocktail or a reception dinner, the versatile combination of elements make it perfect for even a brunch affair or a high-tea. And while the exotic flowers and foliage speak of a blooming summer season, the richness of the hues and timeless feel of the base notes of white and gold can make it a gorgeous choice for even a fall or winter affair.
