When they say love is a many splendored thing, we believe they’re talking about pre-wedding shoots. If there’s anything sweeter than two people in the absolute zenith of their romantic period, just before the wedding, posing together, we don’t know what it is.
From the first month of the year, we bring you snapshots of love from the desert and the warm tropics, cities, and forests, formal and candid. These are our favorite pre-wedding photoshoots of January.
City Sightings – Magic Motion Media
As they make their way through Dubai, Mira and Shaloob’s pre-wedding photoshoot tells us about them and their love. Their relationship has a sense of ease and joy and these emotions are captured perfectly by Magic Motion Media. The city played cupid and Shaloob tells us about their serendipitous start, “I saw Mira on my flight to Dubai and I instantly felt drawn to her. I decided to take a chance and invited her to dinner. Before going out, we texted for a while and after we had spent some time hanging out and getting to know each other we began dating. We both came to Dubai because of work, and it slowly became a home for us. This is our happy place which is why we had to shoot here.”
Ethereal – Sam & Ekta
A photoshoot in God’s own country has got to be divine and, for Niharika and Trishy, so it was! Their love came alive as they made their way through the lush tea estates of Munnar and walked hand in hand in the woods. Each of the pictures freezes in time the echoes of the laughs and the whispers of the love which can be heard just by taking a glimpse at the frames. One of the most breathtaking pictures captures by Sam & Ekta is of the couple as they stand against a waterfall where the flowing water makes our hearts melt!
A Day in the Life of Love – Once Upon a Time Wedding Tales
The series begins with a picture of Kunali and Shiv sharing a laugh as they lay in open fields, under the sun. Shot at Chale Island, in exotic Kenya, the photos are meant to evoke the passing of time even as their love stays constant. The embraces at sunset, them standing in the glow of a full moon, the stunning white beaches and tropical landscapes of Kenya make for captivating backdrops that elevate the aesthetics and intimacy of each moment captured by Once Upon a Time Wedding Tales with intuition and flair.
Romantic Bliss – IntoCandid Photography
Rachna and Gopal’s shoot in the Hatta Desert proves it doesn’t take a bunch of different locations to make a pre-wedding photoshoot interesting. What you need are resonant emotions and some style. Photographer Ketan explains, “We were looking for a location that was quintessentially Dubai and we realized that the city’s golden desert was the perfect spot. Miles of soft sand and the setting sun brought a cinematic appeal. The comfort that Rachna and Gopal share made every frame enthralling.” The images clicked by IntoCandid Photography not only encapsulate the grandeur of the dessert but also capture the duo’s strong bond.
Love in the City of Dreams – Candid Wedding Stories
One look at Etisha and Chinmay’s pre-wedding photographs and you just know that the happiness they derive from being in each other’s company truly has no bounds. Candid Wedding Stories tells more than a 1000 words in every picture as they manage to shoot this couple in the busy Mumbai city! One of the pictures that truly stands out is where Etisha is chasing Chinmay as he runs as fast as he can. It’s funny and lovely and tells you as much about their friendship as their love. “The idea was to keep it very simple and natural. We did not want pictures where they had to pose. We wanted the couple to enjoy their moments together while we shot,” says photographer Manish Chauhan.
Regal Romance – Camera Crew
Rajasthan’s rustic deserts and historical wealth adds a sense of stateliness to every photograph taken here. Against its splendid backdrops, Krati and Vinay’s love shines brighter than the desert sun. Shot by Camera Crew, this photoshoot is like a retelling of a regal romance. The sublime splendor of the Alila Fort Bishangarh only adds to the narrative. Photographer Soniya Dembla takes us through the experience of shooting this couple, “When we met Krati and Vinay, we learned that he has a great voice. Watching him sing with the love of his life by his side was inspiring. The emotions were so real and we knew that Alila Fort Bishangarh was perfect to capture their romance.”
