Our Favourite Pre Wedding Shoots Of January 2018
Pre Wedding Photoshoots, Wedding Photography & Films - Jan 29, 2018
As pre-wedding shoots become more and more popular with to-be-weds, the quest for inspiration and distinction becomes more intense. You want to be far from the mediocre crowd with a concept that flies out of the box and is still very much ‘you’.
Why not start with these gorgeous pre-wedding shoots to get your creative juices flowing? From sophisticated to quirky the one thing they have in common is that they are truly inspirational and definitely our favorites this month!
The Symbol of Love – Oragraphy
The world’s best-known monument to the love between a man and a woman – the Taj Mahal has stood for centuries, more weathered and more beautiful every day. Nawka and Vivek, enamored by its splendor, decided that this was the perfect backdrop for their pre-wedding photoshoot and ‘Save the date’ pictures and were they right!
In photographs that are the perfect balance of modern romance against timeless legend, you see a beautiful bride-to-be posing with her dapper groom. In every frame, the love they share comes through but there is one particular photo that shines brighter than the rest. The two of them pose against the Taj Mahal at twilight and in the background, a flash of light illuminates the background. There’s magic and warmth in the image.
Adding to the credentials of the photographers, not only is every picture wonderful, they have also been shot with a mobile phone camera! Photographer Yogi Trivedi says, “Nawka and Vivek wanted their photographs to be clicked against the monument that is the pride of India and we quickly agreed. But we couldn’t begin without prior permission from the authorities and this was a problem. Rather than get disheartened though, we thought we’d just shoot using our mobile phones! And it was as challenging as it was convenient.”
Bollywood Touch – P 16 Studios
The themes that capture the essence of a couple’s relationship usually manifest as unique, eye-catching concepts. Aroh is an actor and Ankita, his best friend and P16 Studios captured their sweet chemistry against Bollywood backdrops, adding a personal twist by bringing to the fore the friendship that they share with each other. Their shoot spans various hues; from drama and romance to quirk and fun, all, of course, Bollywood style.
Photographer Aditi tells us how they conceptualized the shoot, “In their pre-wedding pictures we tried to show their bond as best friends while keeping the core of their love story intact. Owing to his profession, Aroh had to be filmy! So we shot at some of the most iconic and larger than life film sets of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Indu Sarkar at ND Studios, Karjat. We were very happy with the results and loved how even in their fights we could see the warmth between them.”
Real-life Fairytale – Rajesh Digital
Nitin and Cheta’s pre-wedding photoshoot shines three different spotlights on the central theme of romance. Photographer Mohitt Bhatia manages to capture the nuances of an intimate evening, an amorous fairytale and a chic romance. The beautiful couple fits every frame like they belong exclusively to that setup. The palatial architecture of Noormahal Karnal adds to the aesthesis making each shot a charming picture to cherish forever. Vibrant colors and clean frames work as a dominant factor in making their pictures classic. Some of the most memorable photographs from this photoshoot are of the duo as they pose in the hotel’s corridors and in a gazebo as it glows in a golden light.
Cinematic Beauty – Navin Varma
Frames from Riddhima and Shivesh’s photoshoot look that they have been borrowed from a film. Photographer Navin Varma’s perfect skill with lighting and angles for creating the right mood and atmosphere is what brings a cinematic quality to the duo’s pictures. While it appears that the couple will burst into a song in each one of the frames, an image of them in the twilight hours as they stand on a rock with a view of the open water behind them is sure to stay with you.
The well-directed shots are upgraded further by the beautiful environs of Goa – a fiery sunset over the ocean, the rocky shores that ornament the placid water or even the pristine white church that stands majestically behind the posing duo. All in all, their photographs are a beautiful representation of their love.
The Bond of Food – Samsara Photography
It’s usual to highlight the bond couples share via their pre-wedding photoshoots but Vishaka and Vinit decided to focus on their shared love for food!
Ditching their respective diets two weeks before the wedding, the couple used the opportunity to feast together and as they treated themselves to their favorite foods, they also had the opportunity to show how cute and quirky their relationship is. Encapsulating their wonderful romance, there’s even a photo of Vinit proposing to Vishakha, a cone of popcorn in his hand.
“This photoshoot was a food riot and they really took their love for all things edible to another level! They went to all their favorite joints and their enthusiasm is hard to miss. Their unique shoot was the best stress buster and a memorable experience that got them even closer than before. Hogging on the things that are close to their heart truly did the trick for these two,” says the photographer.
New York, New Beginnings – Ketanuva Photography
Komal and Raghav’s shoot in New York evokes memories of the times of the Regency. The opulent interiors of the New York Public Library, the charming outdoor spaces of Alder Manor and the picture-perfect gazebo at the Untermyer Park and Gardens make for gorgeous backdrops. The duo’s poise helps create frames that are timeless even as their chemistry crackles beneath the surface.
The bride shares with us a little story that went behind choosing Alder Manor as one of their shoot locations, “We knew we wanted the shoot to be at a place that meant something to us and was part of our story. New York was a given, as it was the city where we reconnected and fell in love. We picked the manor since this was the venue of the New Year’s Eve Party that we attended together and professed our love to each other for the first time.”
