Flanked by a dramatic sunset, this couple’s beachside wedding in Goa with its elegant open-air floral mandap was a treat for the eyes

Nestled amidst the bounties of nature, this wedding which was conceptualized, planned, decorated, and hosted by WeddingSutra Favorite – Krayonz Entertainment who used their creativity to craft fourteen unique events in three days, was a grand event that was contemporary yet firmly rooted in tradition. To make sure that not a moment of this gorgeous union was missed, WeddingSutra Favorite – Israni Photography took charge on the photography front to capture some truly mesmerizing moments.
Planning and decorating a destination wedding for a big Indian corporate family is no mean feat, but armed with impressive creativity and his reliable team at Krayonz Entertainment, Achint Nag brought the couple’s vision to life. Giving us an overview of what went on behind the scenes and his creative process, Achint shares, “Be it the Haldi, Tel baan or Bhaat ceremony, we ensured that each event had its own unique setup. For us, no event was the same as we crafted different themes and used varying color tones so that each event in the nuptials stood apart from the other. Different furnishings were also used for each event which in turn led us to create Dior, Tiffany and wooden chairs along with a plethora of tables that would seamlessly fit into the events’ themes.
Since we had a huge management team on our hands, each person was tested keeping the pandemic safety protocols in mind. Over 600 tests were conducted for every single vendor, artist, and guest. Even for local vendors, rapid antigen test stations were set up which ensured that every single person entering the venue was tested. For us, the safety of everyone present was of highest priority and although we had enrolled in the hectic process of planning a wedding, no safety protocols were compromised. The couple, especially, was quite skeptical about managing a 150-200 long guest list keeping the risk factor in mind, but, after looking at the stringent measures that were constantly adhered to, their confidence was boosted.”
The nuptials kicked off on an auspicious and funfilled note with the Haldat and welcome party. Achint from Krayonz Entertainment shares, “After the Haldat and welcome party, a musical night along with an after-party was hosted. For the musical night, Sufi tunes enthralled the guests and the decor followed a distinctly Indian theme. Also, during the course of the event, the very talented Ambili Menon had everyone grooving to her mesmerizing tunes. Following this, a pop art themed after-party raised the spirits even higher as guests enjoyed themselves till the wee hours of the morning.”
The very next day, a traditional Bhaat ceremony was hosted for both the bride and the groom. Dotted with yellow blooms, this intimate ceremony witnessed both the families coming together and mingling as they celebrated the couple’s union. But then again, no Indian union is complete without a hearty dose of fun and laughter! An interactive beach carnival party was hosted for the guests who got their fair share of playful moments. Describing the event, Achint shares, “The beach carnival party urged everyone to let their hair down and celebrate the moment! Jam-packed with classic games like snakes and ladders, X and 0’s, balloon shooting along with giant jenga, this event had everyone laughing as they unleashed their inner kid. For those guests who wished to relax, masseuses were stationed to give relaxing massages. Nail art counters gave the ladies fun manicures and one also had the option of heading to the gola counter to beat the Goan heat. Additionally, a live Goan Carnival band had everyone burning up the dance floor. Finally, to whet everyone’s appetite, an elaborate chaat counter was set up by the famous Bitto Tikki Wala.”
Brimming with colors that contrasted delightfully with the lush green of the lawn, the Beach Carnival Party witnessed the couple making a grand entry heralded by smoke bombs. Adorned with colorful festoons, eye-popping paper flowers, and comfy seating areas, this event had everyone smiling as they ambled around the open lawns.
Hosted on the main lawns of the venue, the Sangeet boosted up the glamor stakes with its breathtaking decor that lit up the evening. Furnished with an entrance that resembled the starry sky, this event captivated the senses from the first glimpse itself. Achint recollects, “The Sangeet was planned meticulously as it was an important event for both the families. To make the occasion even more grand and luxurious, we set up a colossal stage on which everyone could shake their leg freely. Punctuated by SFX backdrops, confetti blasts, aerial fireworks, and numerous colorful lights, the Sangeet was an absolute hit which was then followed by a cheerful after party.”
After the glitzy, sparkling Sangeet night, the bride and groom’s Haldi ceremony stayed true to tradition with its simple yellow decor that contained pops of fuchsia. Hosted indoors, this ceremony had everyone playfully smearing haldi on the bride and groom to get their wedding glow on.
For the big day, all stops were pulled to make sure that the union was a grand, unforgettable spectacle. Seated atop a white-hued vintage car decorated with orchids, the groom made a stylish entry as he grooved to the beats of the dhol along with his best pals. Bedecked with delicate blooms, lush foliage and a majestic crystal chandelier, the open-air mandap exuded serenity as a dramatic sunset acted as the backdrop. Achint shares, “For the Varmala ceremony, a specially crafted musical piece was played by the DJ, which in turn, injected plenty of romance into the moment. To conclude this momentous occasion, a three and a half minute aerial firework show mesmerized everyone. The bride and groom especially, were extremely appreciative of it as they exclaimed their pleasure before proceeding towards the mandap for the phere. Following the wedding, a reception dinner crafted on the lines of ‘The Enchanted Garden’ was orchestrated to celebrate the union. At this event, each table was replete with flowers and greenery and there were also photo booths where the guests could click pictures which also acted as souvenirs.
We left no stone unturned to ensure that the couple and their families got an elaborate Indian wedding they’d always dreamed of. Throughout the three-day celebration, we meticulously looked into each detail, since we wanted to create unique events that inspired awe amongst everybody.”
