Flaunting a plethora of distinct and immersive themes, this couple’s wedding by DreamzKrraft was truly extravagant!
Wedding Planning - Apr 15, 2026
In April, Mumbai set the stage for the elegant union of Vaishnav Shetty, son of logistics magnate Shashi Kiran Shetty, founder and chairman of Allcargo Group, and Sonali, in a thoughtfully curated celebration by WeddingSutra Favourite – DreamzKrraft.

The celebration unfolded as an immersive, detail-rich experience where every touchpoint was designed to engage and delight. Guests were welcomed into an all-day lounge that balanced indulgence and ease, complete with salons on each floor of Fairmont Mumbai, alongside a tuck shop, spa room and game room, creating a seamless flow between relaxation and revelry. The Sangeet introduced a playful narrative, with tickets placed in rooms and ceremoniously stamped by train conductors. At the same time, an expansive, station-style culinary showcase curated by speciality chefs flown in for each event took guests on a journey across global cuisines. A striking wedding set, conceptualised over several months and executed within three weeks, stood as a testament to the production’s scale and precision, with a glasshouse that elegantly transformed from a Mehendi venue into an atmospheric setting for the wedding dinner. Rooted in cultural authenticity, a specially designed Mangalore street recreated the charm of local life, complete with stylised homes, bustling market scenes, coconut water stalls and live Benne dosa counters. Fragrant Mallige flowers, flown in especially for the occasion, further deepened the South Indian aesthetic. The reception carried forward this sense of immersive storytelling, with ambient artists performing atop pedestals across the ballroom, creating moments of surprise and spectacle through the evening. Behind the scenes, an extensive team brought the vision to life with remarkable cohesion, comprising over 245 members in planning, 60+ dedicated to hospitality and RSVPs, 75+ family managers and F&B butlers, alongside a team of 250 from catering, ensuring every experience felt effortless, elevated and intuitively orchestrated.
The guest welcome drew from the charm of ‘Malgudi Days’, creating a distinctly first impression that reflected the couple’s roots. Live musicians playing the tabla, flute and sitar performed the familiar theme as guests were greeted by hostesses with Gota Patti malas and Elaichi malas, along with coconut water infused with chia seeds. Cinnamon coffee was served on banana-leaf trays, finished with Mallige flowers. The décor was anchored in ivory tones, with a four-foot ‘takht’ for the musicians, traditional floral arrangements, brass diyas and Mallige heavy styling across the lobby. A three-dimensional Ganesha installation crafted from hanging bells added a striking focal point, while a white postbox with a postman artist encouraged guests to leave handwritten wishes.

The Mehendi extended onto the lawns through a glasshouse installation, creating continuity between the indoor and outdoor spaces. Lush prints and vibrant florals defined the décor, keeping the mood upbeat and festive. Performances by singers Harshdeep Kaur and Akriti Kakkar added a musical highlight to the afternoon. The setting balanced colour and structure without overwhelming the space.

The Sangeet embraced an ‘Orient Express’ theme inspired by the couple’s journey. Guests entered with custom train tickets into a space designed like a 1920s train station. Deep maroons, browns and golds with glossy duco finishes set the palette. Lounge areas resembled vintage train coaches, complete with trunks and station-style ticket counters. A life-sized train installation in the pre-function area established the setting, while the main stage featured LED train windows displaying station graphics. A kinetic lighting installation enhanced the central lounge, building anticipation for a high-energy performance by Vishal Shekhar. Destination-inspired cuisine tied the concept together.

For the Muhurtha, the theme ‘Artisans of India’ celebrated craftsmanship through décor elements such as hand embroidery, woven textiles and artisan detailing. Mudra dancers posed on pedestals in classical forms, creating a strong visual welcome. Floral styling carried subtle Thai influences, adding freshness to the structured setting. The groom’s entry, accompanied by family women holding aarti thalis and the beats of Chenda Melam drummers, brought a traditional intensity to the ceremony. The overall design remained rooted in culture while maintaining a refined aesthetic.

For the wedding ceremony, Carved pillars, red-tiled roofs and towering gopurams transformed the venue into a breathtaking Mangalorean temple-inspired setting spanning over 100,000 square feet. Crafted by 5,000 artisans in under three weeks, the décor featured 250 carved pillars and a striking 12-foot Ganesha idol, bringing Mrs. Arathi Shetty’s vision to life. Devotional renditions by Shankar Mahadevan and a curated menu by Ritu Dalmia completed the immersive experience.

‘Bismil ki Mehfil’ was set as a contemporary darbar with large-scale LED visuals that defined the stage and backdrop. The focus remained on performance and atmosphere, with lighting used effectively to shape the mood. In contrast, the spa retreat morning followed a Thai-inspired theme, offering a calm and well-designed setting for guests to relax after the festivities.

The grand reception at Jio World Convention Centre was defined by a turquoise palette and pagoda-inspired elements that shaped the large venue into a cohesive environment. The décor leaned contemporary with luxe finishes and clean lines. Music by a live band carried the evening forward, closing the celebrations with scale and sophistication.

Reflecting on the celebration, CEO Mrs Priti Sidhwani of DreamzKrraft shared, “This wedding was a true embodiment of DreamzKrraft’s ethos of transforming emotions into immersive experiences. Every celebration was designed to translate Vaishnav and Sonali’s story into spaces that guests could not just see, but truly feel. It was a union of love and artistry, and bringing that vision to life was both an honour and a creative milestone for our team.”
