As part of the airline’s expansion and to meet the growing passenger base in India, Turkish Airlines deployed the B777-300ER on its Mumbai-Istanbul-Mumbai since 2013. The aircraft is the most fuel and cost-efficient in its class departing punctually 99.5 percent of the time making it the most reliable twin-aisle aircraft in the world.
With its 49 Business class and 300 Economy class seats, it is the biggest aircraft in the Turkish Airlines fleet. It has more capacity for cargo and offers full flat beds in Business Class.

With the world’s most comprehensive network, Turkish Airlines’ newest addition to its hospitality is the expanded and refurbished lounge at Ataturk Airport, Istanbul; the crossroads of world travel and the airline’s hub city.
“Turkish Airlines Lounge Istanbul”, already a world-class facility, added another 2400 m2 to its existing 3500 m2, increasing the size by over 40% in order to meet the needs of growing passenger numbers. Located in the departure area of Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, the expanded lounge adds a second floor to the existing space.

The additional space increases the capacity of the lounge to over 1000 guests. In addition to the existing facility, which included a children’s playground, library, billiards area, prayer room and teleconference section, the rest and shower space has been enlarged and additional massage beds installed. The enhanced lounge caters to virtually every passenger need whether it is quiet relaxation or a choice from a wide range of activities and services.
The lounge, operated by Turkish Airlines’ catering partner, TURKISH DO&CO, a group that has repeatedly won awards for Turkish Airlines’ in-flight cuisine, provides the same attention to detail and variety to the lounge guests. Meals and snacks are provided, appropriate to the time of day and many items are cooked on site to ensure maximum flavour and freshness.
