Framed by the gentle sea waves, this beachside phera ceremony in Goa straddled tradition and glamour with flair!
Wedding Planning - Nov 19, 2025
Perched along the sun-kissed shores of Goa, Radhika Somani and Sagar Inani’s wedding exuded elegance, tradition, and thoughtful design. Designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Exotic Goa Events, the celebration unfolded as a seamless blend of personal charm and grand visual storytelling at Grand Hyatt Goa. Every element was rooted in emotion and heritage, yet elevated with a refined sense of aesthetics that echoed across the stunning seaside setting.

For the wedding ceremony, the family’s vision was clear—they wanted a mandap that echoed the sacred grandeur of a traditional temple, rooted in cultural symbolism while framing the ocean beyond. What made this setup truly remarkable was not just its opulence, but the ingenuity behind its execution. With 400 guests expected, spatial constraints posed a unique challenge. “We wanted to ensure that no one felt like a spectator,” shared the design team at Exotic Goa Events. “So we played with the seating configuration—introducing symmetrical lounges flanking the central aisle, which not only created a closer, more inclusive energy but also beautifully demarcated the ceremonial space.”

The mandap stood as the pièce de résistance—its intricately carved dome structure in antique gold, inspired by Rajasthani temple architecture, glowed against the coastal sky. Cascading garlands of rajnigandha and rose added depth and softness, while a glass aisle embedded with fresh petals led the eye and the bride towards the mandap. Overhead, sheer blush drapes billowed in the Goan breeze, catching the light and softening the grandeur with their ethereal touch. Every detail was intentional, from the hand-strung florals to the placement of gold ceremonial spires that framed the view of the sea, creating an altar that felt timeless yet anchored in the moment.

Together, Radhika and Sagar’s wedding was not just a celebration. It was a design-forward homage to legacy, love, and the joy of coming together. In the words of the team at Exotic Goa Events, “Our goal was to craft each experience with intention, to make every guest feel enveloped in beauty, but also in belonging.”
