From a purple-hued haldi event to a delicate pastel phera ceremony – this couple’s destination wedding in Bali was a blissful one!
Wedding Planning - Feb 11, 2025
As the stunning shores of Bali framed their ‘happily ever after’ Sanjana and Gowtham’s union looked picture-perfect. Planned, designed and curated by WeddingSutra Favorite – Akarshana Events & Entertainment, this wedding was a heartfelt celebration of love, laughter, and family.
Spanning four days, the celebrations, hosted in August, were carefully orchestrated by the planning team. Shravan Madiraju from Akarshana Events & Entertainment, shares, “When the bride and her family first met the us, they shared a clear vision of their dream wedding and entrusted us to bring it to life. Over four magical days, every moment was crafted with care and love, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We meticulously let the couple’s personalities and perspectives shine through in every event.”
Family Dinner
“The festivities began with a cozy family dinner, setting the perfect tone for the days ahead. A long table was elegantly styled to create an intimate atmosphere where the family could unwind, bond, and savor quality time together”, says Shravan.

Welcome and Sangeet
Shravan shares, “The second day started with a heartfelt welcome for their guests, followed by an evening of glitz and glamour. The Sangeet was a vibrant celebration as the couple, their family, and friends lit up the stage with energetic performances, dancing the night away.”
Haldi and Mehndi
Eschewing the usual yellow tones, the couple chose purple hues for their haldi. Shravan shares, “The Haldi ceremony in the morning was a burst of cheer, with décor featuring ombre shades of purple that added a unique and captivating touch. It was a lively poolside affair with interactive activities and joyful vibes.”
Next in line was the Bali-inspired mehndi, as Shravan shares, “In the evening, the Mehndi brought the spirit of Bali to the celebration. Every detail—from the décor and linens to the Wayang-inspired elements—was meticulously designed. The night came alive with a mesmerizing performance by a live band, leaving everyone spellbound.”

Pradhanam and Wedding
A Telugu wedding tradition, Pradhanam, is a fun game where the couple is tasked with finding a ring hidden within a pot filled with milk. Consequently, this game between Sanjana and Gowtham had everyone cheering on as the couple competitively clamoured to find the ring! As dusk came, the wedding phera celebration began. Shravan shares, “The much-awaited wedding took centre stage in the evening. The décor featured a breathtaking palette of pastels, white, and pink—delicate and dreamy, just as the bride had envisioned. Every detail reflected her and her groom’s refined taste and elegance.”
