From personalized opulence to elegant minimalism: A Jaipur wedding that celebrated every facet of Indian revelries
Wedding Planning - Apr 10, 2025
Nestled amidst the historic charm of the Pink City, Tanya and Nikhil’s wedding at Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar showcased the grandeur of Indian heritage and celebrations in a way that felt deeply personal. Planned to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – Mohna & Co, the celebration was nothing short of magical.
The bride’s Australian roots, her childhood romance, as well as the beautiful union of her Punjabi roots and her groom’s Baniya culture, all contributed to the wedding’s narrative and aesthetic. Taking an active role in the design process, the bride collaborated closely with Mohna & Co to ensure that every detail reflected her unique vision for the day.
The sangeet unfolded with a captivating Twilight Tango theme. Following a breathtaking engagement ceremony set in a courtyard aglow with twinkling lights and fireworks, the celebration transitioned to the opulent regency ballroom. Vibrant jewel tones, luxurious drapes, flickering candles, ornate chandeliers, whimsical animal figurines, and an abundance of flowers harmonized together to set an enchanting ambiance, highlighted by the striking lighting setups. A uniquely designed bar showcased custom menus inspired by the couple’s journey. Dressed in elegant silver and black, the couple took to the floor for their first dance and were joined by friends and family in a joyous celebration on stage.
The wedding, adorned in a tranquil blend of ivory and pink, exuded a royal Jaipur ambiance, featuring intricate Thikri work and a magnificent mandap. Vibrant floral arrangements and elegant lamps infused the event with some flair. Rather than a lavish reception stage, the spotlight was on the varmala stage, where a simple yet intricate design showcased ornate mirrored elephants against the hotel’s immaculate white backdrop, creating a refined yet minimalist elegance as the couple exchanged their garlands.
