Framed against the rugged beauty of Alila Fort Bishangarh, Apeksha and Mohit’s wedding was the perfect blend of traditional and modern, showcasing stunning decor masterfully crafted by WeddingSutra Favorite – Discovery Events. How they met
Apeksha shares, “We were introduced nearly four years ago through a common friend who was visiting and staying with Mohit in New York. It was in this very apartment where we currently live together that we first met. Most of my conversation that evening was with Mohit’s brother, rather than Mohit himself. However, Mohit surprisingly remembers what I was wearing that day. We were introduced because I’m a fashion photographer and Mohit owns his own fine jewelry company, so there was potential for us to work together. Fast forward to March 2023, when I had just returned after spending 11 months in India, traveling for both work and leisure. Mohit slid into my DMs and asked if I was back in New York for good. I said yes, and he made plans for us to meet sometime in mid-April, initially for work purposes. Little did I know, he had already set his sights on marrying me from that very day. He continued to make plans with me week after week, and I simply agreed to all of them. That’s how our relationship started abruptly and never ceased.”
Wedding Planning
For couples living and organizing their weddings from abroad, curating a seamless celebration can seem like a daunting task. For Mohit and Apeksha, the search for the right décor & design partner to bring their dream wedding to life had not been an easy one, as even after several interviews, they found themselves still unsure about how to proceed. With little time left, they turned to Alila, their venue, for recommendations, which was when they were introduced to Discovery Events, and it turned out to be the perfect match!
Mohit and Apeksha were clear about one thing: they wanted every detail of their wedding décor to reflect their personalities and energy. Each event needed to not only look beautiful but also feel authentic to who they are as a couple. Discovery Events took their vision to heart and curated a series of themed events that perfectly captured their vibe. They made the entire process stress-free, from quick responses and proactive follow-ups to bringing on a fantastic social media vendor to capture the moments,” says Apeksha. “They truly brought our vision to life,” Mohit adds, “with stunning themes for each of our main events. Their attention to detail and flawless execution made every moment unforgettable!”

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The festivities commenced with the Bagh-e-Bahaar, an exquisite Welcome Lunch and Mehndi adorned with the rich hues of Jaipur, showcasing a lively and fresh palette throughout the bar, table decor, and terrace lounges. At the heart of this celebration stood the “Tree of Life”, an interactive installation inviting guests to inscribe their heartfelt wishes for the couple, crafting an unforgettable experience.
Sangeet
The Sangeet unfolded with joyous moments, reflecting the enchanting essence of Rajasthan’s desert charm. Elegant pampas grass, dried floral displays, and refined wooden cocktail tables created an exquisite ambiance. A whimsical selfie mirror invited guests to indulge in capturing some delightful memories before stepping into the celebration.
Rajasthani Lunch
The following day, attendees were treated to a Rajasthani Lunch, where they were welcomed into the vibrant flea market ambiance, adorned with vivid pagodas, exquisite block printing, and authentic Rajasthani artistry. The bespoke elements, including customized mats for table settings, infused the occasion with a unique and intimate charm.
Wedding
The wedding unfolded like a dream, with the couple pledging their love beneath a starlit sky, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The varmala stage, poised beneath a majestic tree, was adorned with twinkling lamps and delicate flowers that danced gently in the evening air, crafting an enchanting ambiance as they exchanged garlands. The lush mandap, infused with greenery and adorned with exquisite brass accents, offered a captivating setting for the couple’s wedding ceremony.
Reception
The wedding celebrations culminated in a grand, starry night dinner, where the sky was illuminated with fairy light clouds, making for a dreamy conclusion to the entire wedding.
