From vibrant flower markets to a 50s circus, this unique wedding at Umaid Bhawan Palace explored diverse themes!
Wedding Planning - Jul 19, 2023
Portrayed against the royal splendor of Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace, Kanika and Yash’s destination wedding was brimming with stellar decor themes and rousing revelries, exquisitely brought to life by WeddingSutra Favorite – The A-Cube Project. Watch it unfold below.
Wedding Venue
Embracing the royal elegance and heritage of Jodhpur for their dream destination wedding, the couple chose the iconic Taj Heritage Hotel of Umaid Bhawan Palace, while the Sangeet was hosted at the historical Mehrangarh Fort.
Wedding Planning
The couple envisioned a larger-than-life celebration full of unique themes and decadent decor. The destination getaway was planned to perfection by Weddings by Ekta Saigal Lulla, while every detail of the decor was exquisitely designed, conceptualized, and styled by The A-Cube Project. The guests were given a sneak peek into the amazing revelries that awaited them with stunning concept invites by Pink Whistle Man, while award-winning entertainers like DJ Ganesh and many others made the experience unforgettable.
Welcome Lunch & Haldi
Inspired by the fiery beauty of Palash flowers reminiscent of Autumn hues, the poolside haldi function recreated the chaotic vibe of a phool mandi. Cane baskets overflowing with local flowers and spices, mortar and pestle with raw haldi, and colorful pottery interspersed with block printing, rich textures, and lac bangles came together to create a contemporary Indian setting to kick off the wedding festivities.
Sangeet
Recreating the magic of winters, the Sangeet wove a tale of fire and ice with elements of shimmer. Plush velvet furniture styled with throws and fur cushions, elegant lantern stands, candle votives, and white blooms came together with fire torches and an ice bar serving hot drinks to lend a warm, cozy feel to the evening.
Carnival Lunch
Dubbed Cirque De Fiesta, the Carnival Lunch was imagined as a 50’s style retro circus full of bright colors and quirky elements that lit up the lush hotel lawns. Painting a vibrant contrast against the majestic royal architecture of the palace, the decor was a play on vintage elements reminiscent of a fun and playful era gone by. Striped fabrics juxtaposed against larger-than-life installations of horses and hand painted elements to add a whimsical touch to the entire setting.
Wedding
Inspired by the picturesque paintings of Vrindavan – the home of Lord Srinath, the wedding decor was a mix of contemporary Indian prints, diya jaalis, intricate brass elements, chandeliers, metallic installations, canopies, and florals that created a royal setting. Juxtaposed against the existing facade of Umaid Bhawan Palace, lotus arrangements with lush greens amidst regal arches and canopies brought the theme to life to create a divine setting as the couple tied the knot.
